Went to the legion restaurant and had a great meal plenty of choice from a good and varied menu. Had the home made chicken fillets and they were excellent then followed by the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We are from Australia and were staying at a BnB out of Turriff. We came into town on Friday night and it was very difficult to find somewhere to eat, we tried one hotel and they were having a Christmas function so recommended the Royal British Legion Scotland and after enquiring if we could eat that night, we signed in... Popped in for Sunday lunch and found the menu to be fairly extensive. The decor was very nice with what appeared to be new carpeting. Public toilets absolutely spotless. We both opted for the carvery. There were generous offerings of beef, turkey and pork. The beef was just beautiful. The sides included yorkies, skirling, roast and boiled potatoes and a... More

If you're American, the RBL is basically a VFW. The room was small and not deluxe, but it was clean and I had a great sleep. One tip: if you're here on Friday or Saturday night, don't get a room over the front entrance (that door must have slammed 50 times a night!). It's a working class hotel in a... More

My husband and I stayed at the British Legion with our baby daughter while visiting relatives. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, particularly the lovely lady making breakfast who was very attentive without hanging around us. She also called our baby a 'bonny wee girrl' which I liked, being English :) The room was quite comfortable but very hot. The... More

First time here for a year. Had lunch, roast turkey dinner, massive portion, hot , and very tasty. Only £7.00 so good value. You might have to be a legion member before you can eat here so check first.
