Wonderful 4 day visit with 3 other couples. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Wide assortment of delicious fresh fruit, meats etc. for breakfast. Stefano is very accommodating and goes out of his way to help his guests. We had problems with our cell phones - he fixed the problem when the Italian phone stores couldn't. His wife is a... More

It is a very nice and well restorated old building serving as a hotel and a restaurant. The rooms are well equipped and big. Restaurant is a perfect choice for a fine dining. Also it has a very rich blend of wine collection both native and abroad. Hotel has a very nice and clean frontyard and backyard with green lawn.... More

For an aussie it is hard to Fathom sleeping in such an old building with such great history, Yes its has its quirks but WOW, the staff and the location are just amazing, Stefan and his wife make you feel like part of the family, and the food is just simply sensational. It is not on the typical route taken... More

Beautiful - was my first impression of this Villa set at the end of a long driveway. Large timber doors and a welcoming smile from Stefan was just the beginning. High celings and the feeling of space yet warm and homely. The room or rather suite with comfortable king size bed and a lounge suite was airy and spacious. The... More

My wife and I have been traveling in Europe for many years. Only occasionally have we found a hotel/restaurant quite as wonderful as the Villa Montanarini. Our room was very large, well appointed and quiet. The manager,Stefano Bombarda did everything to make us feel at home. His wife is the chef - and what a chef!! Stefano asked us what... More

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Montanarini twice now and I believe it is one of the best small hotels I have stayed in anywhere. The building is beautiful but not overwhelming. Furnishings and decor are elegant and comfortable. There is a genuine homely feel here. The owners are a lovely family who are genuinely interested... More

My husband and I stayed one night at the Villa on our way between stops in Emilia-Romagna. The hotel is a restored villa, on the edge of a small town in an agricultural area of the valley. It has quite a few business meetings, weddings, and also some individual tourists/travelers. It makes for quite an impressive sight when you look... More

Booked this place through the internet as attending a show in nearby Gonzaga. Real (but well hidden) gem of a place, lovely high ceilings, big rooms, real family business atmosphere. Attentive staff and lovely food. I will certainly return when in the area.
