A newly and carefully restored room in a charming, flower-festooned garden. The bed was comfortable and the linen high quality. The on-site, family-run trattoria served excellent food and wine at reasonable prices when we ate there at the weekend, but was closed mid-week in mid-June. Tranquil and very quiet, a lovely place to rest and explore the area, including Verona. A car is a must.
Like many other Italian B&Bs, breakfast is prepacked, high-preservative dry breads and pastries, and DIY coffee - not our favourite. But worse, here there was no fridge, hot plate or sink for storing and preparing breakfast if you buy the excellent local meats, cheeses, etc. in the nearby towns. We never saw the owner himself, dealing entirely with his father and staff of the attached restaurant.
Overall, highly recommended. More
