On Tenerife for a week cycling and chilling out. Casona del Patio was all very clean and large double room. Great location - explore Teide, beautiful and more remote NW corner of island as well as beach/tourist strip to south west. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would be very happy to return.

We stayed 7 nights in this gorgeous and comfortable hotel. Rooms are large enough and offer a good level of comfort. The staff is very friendly, service oriented and attentive to customer needs. Breakfast is good. Location is ideal for hikers in the Masca and Teno areas. The dinner menu is of good quality. The premises are well maintained and very clean. The hotel is set in a quite area away from highway noise.

We booked one of the rooms (302) with an outdoor terrace. Little did we realise until arrival that our room was in a separate block (more like an outhouse) from the main hotel. The room itself smelt fousty and unaired. There was no phone in the room to contact reception, necessitating a circuitous walk whenever we need something (eg a cork screw and then wine glasses). The restaurant was fully booked (although we were not pre-advised) so no dinner available. Frankly this hotel lacks attention to detail and any real interest in its clients. Very disappointed. 1 night stay felt like one night too many

The hotel is very charming, the location is perfect when you’re going from places to places (especially to visit Masca). The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Only problem is the restaurant, diner was disappointing and expensive for the quality.

We spent 2 nights here during a walking holiday. The staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a welcoming glass of cava. On discovering our room door had a faulty lock we were moved to a superior room immediately. We had dinner at the restaurant on one night and it was reasonably priced and enjoyable but not particularly memorable. The buffet breakfast was adequate but a limited choice.

I enjoyed my stay at La Casona del Patio. My room was very comfortable, the staff were especially friendly, and the Wi-Fi was good. The weather wasn’t great whilst I was there so unfortunately I didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space much, but I bet it’s great on a nice day. Breakfast was more than adequate without being exceptional. The only slight issue was an incredibly slow coffee machine! I was doing long hike days so it suited me to have my dinner in the hotel. Pre-ordering made it simple. Like breakfast, it wasn’t exceptional, but It was good value at €20 for three courses.

We stopped here for lunch a couple of years ago and had always planned to come back for an overnight stay. COVID-19 put paid to that last year but the Hotel kept our reservation open and we finally made it this week. It is a beautiful boutique hotel in a small town at the foot to El Teide. Perfect for exploring the Teno mountains, Saintiago valley and El Teide itself. The staff were so friendly and helpful and despite having to wear masks, their smiles shone through and made you feel immediately at home. Our room was a decent size with a lovely bathroom. After a long days hiking I certainly appreciated a soak in the bath rather than a walk in shower. The breakfast buffet covers all the usual options and tevening meal menu was small but varied with interesting choices. The Friday evening Hake was a particular highlight alongside the cold cauliflower soup. The staff asked if I wanted mine warm, perhaps sensing that cold soup is not a particularly British thing, but I wanted to enjoy as the chef intended. All I can say is perhaps cold soup should become a particularly British thing. The wines were local and the size of the after dinner brandies would have won the approval of my mum. It is a great place to stay and if you want to see different aspect to this amazingly varied holiday island then please consider this place as a luxurious base camp for onward exploration

It wasn’t particularly cold outside, but at altitude and in January, we expected to have some heating, in our bedroom and in the public areas. The bedroom had aircon that seemed incapable of heating even though set to 32C when we arrived. Fortunately there was a small noisy electric fan heater in the wardrobe, so we pressed it into service. But the big bathroom with marble everywhere had no heating or ventilation other than that window that could be shut or open wide, nothing in between. At breakfast everyone was dressed for outdoors and the girl on the desk was in a thermal top with a big scarf. Did the architect only visit in summer? In summer it would have been great, our bedroom being comfortably furnished and spacious. Our half board dinner was excessive and only of reasonable quality. Guests who had stayed a few nights before said their helpings were meagre, so for our stay the chef must have overreacted. The cold breakfast was pretty good, but the advertised hot extras had been precooked and left to keep warm, solidified scrambled eggs and undercooked bacon. Could do better!

To me, what makes a great hotel an outstanding one is the staff, and without exception, every single member of staff that we encountered in our 8 night stay was amazing. Our wheelchair accessible room was in the main hotel building and was large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom has twin sinks, a bath/overhead shower as well as wet room shower. Breakfast has an excellent choice of delicious and healthy food and the restaurant staff that served us each evening were always polite, friendly and very attentive. A special mention has to be made of Eduardo the waiter - every restaurant needs an Eduardo! He was fantastic and made every meal special with a good knowledge of the local wines and always very cheerful (plus perfect English too). The reception staff are super friendly and when my husband lost his wallet containing our every cent and credit card (plus personal ID) on day one, they went to the ends of the earth to help, including allowing him use of the hotel telephone and helping with reporting the loss to the local police. A complimentary glass of Cava on arrival is a lovely touch and the comfortable lounge with log fire is a great place for an afternoon drink - always served with a smile. The hotel location is stunning, in a quiet town with mountain views. We had an amazing stay and would stay here again with no hesitation.

The hotel is really nice and quiet. Close to all the attractions like Masca, Los Gigantes or Teide national park. The staff was kind and helpful. Hotel is cycling friendly with the option to rent a bike from a local bike rent company.
