They say you get what you pay for, and this was no exception. in the middle of nowhere and close to the frank Gehry designed winery (Marques de Riscal), this hotel does not appear to have been updated in quite sometime. Yes it was cheap, and as a village hotel it was a great location. But that's where the good...

Finding hotels that would accept our super-sweet-but-23kg Pointer was not easy, so we were happy to find this hotel for 3 nights to explore the La Rioja region. Plusses: 1. hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to find us catas/wine tastings in English without our asking for them and so on..and all were...

Booked on the day of stay €70 + tax for a double room. Good bed and sheets, bathroom and water pressure much better than expected. Quiet at the back of the hotel. Ate dinner there which was perfectly fine but our request for breakfast hadn't been noted so we only had toasted baguette & jams with good coffee which was...

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. Upon arrival the receptionist was appalling in manners and attitude. The room they provided was just basic although we did book an upper room with balcony, but were told none left, no air conditioning in room and very small. Breakfast consisted of cold meats and fruit which was fine but...

Basic hotel with spacious rooms, TV doesn’t worked, not air conditioner on the room. The breakfast is correct, not huge and nothing warm but more than acceptable. Also the hotel has restaurant that it is very nice, good meat (chuleta/meat steak), cutlet baby lamb… mmmmm I love it! The staff is really friendly, helpful and cordial, they made our stay...

You can't get lost in the village of Elceigo ... which is a very beautiful village with wineries in and around it. The hotel is located on the center of town with the town square on its right. It's all walking distance (if you opted not to rent a car but its advisable to get one for ease of transportation)....

Booked here as we couldn't get into our original choice. Firstly there is no parking at the hotel but there is a free car park very close by. The rooms are ok clean and tidy but not luxurious and no air-con. It has to be said though the resteraunt and bar area with its open grill is excellent, a fantastic...

We stayed at the Agroturismo Valdelana in Elciego which didn't have a restaurant, so after a lovely walk thro town we came across this hotel! I had seen it when looking for somewhere to stay and because it didn't have parking near we decided to book elsewhere! We had the degustation menu for 20€ each which was several courses with...

Located in Elciego, a small medieval village in the heart of La Rioja, Villa de Elciego provides a great base to a trip in the area. The village itself is a beautiful one, has quite a few wineries, out of which at least two are having English guided visits - Marques de Riscal and Valdelana. This provides you an opportunity...

Located in the tranquil & picturesque Elciego, Villa de Elciego offers a home away from home with friendly staff & wonderful accommodations. We enjoyed strolling through Elciego; the town itself is beautiful; the views are spectacular. From here, we easily enjoyed all that the Rioja region has to offer. Our favorite trips included visiting Laguardia (a vibrant medieval town with...
