Detailed Reviews
The Aparthotel Rosa is setting in a beautiful location of Terme Olimia complex close to the nature. First time we didn’t know a lot of about this place. We’re just only looking for a nice place to stop on our way to Croatia for two days. And the town Podčetrtek is near the border with Croatia, just perfect for us. This place fascinated us with its amazing and peaceful surrounding where is no noise, no rush. And the aparthotel exceeded our expectations so we come back again. (this year it will be the third time)
Our apartment was spacious and elegant. It had a bedroom, a living room with two sofa beds (separated from kitchen with a drapery), a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen was really good equipped (with a dishwasher and a microwave). You can easily make your meal. There is also good supermarket-Jager Podčetrtek near here (just about 1km). If you don’t feel like making your own food there is a nice small restaurant Lipa in a square in Terme Olimia.
The apartment had a balcony with a beautiful view on near ponds, a spa and a forest.
The aparthotel has covered parking spaces for the guests in the parking garage on the basement which is directly connected with a lobby and a reception where you can find trolleys for your luggage. Stuff is very nice and helpful with perfect English.
It has even an underground corridor which provides an excellent connection with the Wellness Termalija and Wellness Orhidelia. It means you simply put on your swimsuit and a bathrobe at apartment and go directly throught that corridor to the wellness.
(We especially love the bags left for us on the beds with towels in it to use in a spa.)
There is also an amazing Aquapark – Aqualuna (included in a price) just about 3 minutes by car.
We had a great time there!

We were not sure what to expect when we booked for a holiday in Slovenia but boy, what have we been pleasantly surprised! We went by car and the (main) roads in Slovenia are in good shape, driving across the mountains always gives this special feeling and they have some amazing green mountains and hills. The countryside is just very beautiful to wonder through. Slovenians also use the Euro and prices for most products are very reasonable, the people were friendly and most of them speak English.
We stayed for 10 days in Terme Olimia (Rosa Apartment) and had great time, we actually checked our booking papers again after a few days because we started to doubt the offered hotel and aquapark were really offered for the amount we paid :-) Maybe the low price has something to do with the work on one of the buildings on the resort, which didn't cause us any irritation we even got 2 free entrance tickets for the sauna's because of the work in progress. This is an ideal place for whole families, especially the amazing Aqualuna park brings joy for young and old. The Aqua Jungle for the smaller kids and slides like the Black Cannon and King Cobra for the bigger kids, there must be over 20 different slides in total and there is a wave machine in the big pool, more then enough beds/strechers and baby pools. Our daughter enjoyed the mini disco in the evenings and it was very nice to sit at the Luna restaurant with live music each evening, maybe it lacks a bit of entertainment for teens in the evening. The surroundings are very nice, with green hills, ponds with fish and playgrounds. I think this resort has done a great job in the difficult task of combining two opposite wishes into one place. You can stay and have a great family holiday as we did, but at the same time it is an idyllic place with relaxation, peace and quiet. Come to think about it, it is even an excellent place for sport-teams looking for a place to train.
Nearby there is the Olimje Castle/ Medieval Pharmacy we visited together with the deer farm and the funny fairytale woods attraction. We considered to do a daytrip to Croatia, which is just 5 minutes away but it didn't come to that (this time). We had 1 rainy day and enjoyed ourselves in the indoor pool and for the parents the superb sauna's and steam-baths in the Orchidelia part of the park. Our room in the Rosa apartment was very nice and clean, air-conditioned and had everything that we needed. There even were 2 flatscreen tv's and a dishwasher! We had a private parking space which was a bit narrow. The food in restaurant Lipa was very good and I can recommend to try all the different local beers that are on the menu. There are also some supermarkets, a gasstation and a kebabhouse nearby. This was our first time in Slovenia and we have been pleasantly surprised by this beautiful country (we visited some local places, did a day trip to Ljubljana and visited lake Bled on our way home) and this luxurious resort. Thanks for bringing us a great holiday, we wished we could have stayed longer!

Aparthotel Rosa is a part of Terme Olimia. It offers an alternative to hotel stay. You get an apartment with fully equiped kitchen, so you can cook for yourself or you can additionally choose to book halfboard or breakfast, either one is served in connected hotel Breza (via underground tunnel!). You get a free entrance to pools of Wellness Termalia and with additional payment entrance to all other connected Wellness centers.
We stayed there more than three times and we will go there again.
The reception staff is extremely nice and helpful!

Booked Aparthotel Rosa due to great reviews and recommendations from friends. As we came to the location we were informed that emergency work is taking place around the hotel at fixed hours. It turned out that the work was being done at all times of the day the whole week we were staying, alternating between unbearable and slightly more bearable racket happening right below our window. Naturally, it was impossible to put our child to sleep in such a loud environment. Here, I must emphasize that we did not receive any notice from the hotel before arriving even though they had both, our phone number and our email address. Let alone suggesting a discount due to inconvenience, or a chance to cancel the whole thing before coming. Additionally, at the check in, we were informed that guests from Aparthotel Rosa are not allowed in the spa between 12 an 18 hours due to Covid-19 restrictions (while guests from two other hotels had no such restrictions), again something we were not informed beforehand. To put the cherry on top, the dishwasher in the apartment did not work, which we figured out after it was full of dirty dishes and the fridge had broken freezer door - before we noticed it all our food got frozen. And the beds are far from comfortable. So yeah, we got none of the relax and all of the frustration. And this thing was supposed to have 4 stars! What a joke!

+1
We have stayed in Olimia more than 7 times in last 5 years, sometimes for 2 nights, sometimes for 1 day. Usually we stayed in aparthotel Rosa, where we have everything we need. Apartments are equipped with all necessary appliances, clean and tidy and quiet for vacation. Staff is very polite and friendly, do their best to meet customer requirements. The best thing for us is that we can reach the pools and saunas through tunel from our apartment.
The service is professional, but the price is rather high.
In fact, we would rather be in the village, "Lipa" and the beautiful wooden houses, but are not connected by a corridor with pools.
This spa is for sure the best one in this region.

We decided to spend a week at this hotel, which are really apartments with your own kitchen, so you can cook your own meals.
Although the place is nice and probably really suitable for families with young children or those who are on a special diet, we didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped to.
The apartment was divided into two stories - the kitchen and living room below and toilet/bathroom and bedroom above.
The place was relatively clean when we arrived, but there weren't any tablets for the washing machine, so we had to go and buy our own. There were pots and pants and everything else you might need in the kitchen, but they were very worn out and damaged.
Bedroom was nice, with a roof window and I really liked the upper floor which appeared a bit more modern than what was going down below.
Unfortunately for us, the weather was horrible - it was raining the whole week and we didn't want to spend it all at the pool, so we stayed inside the apartment, reading magazines and watching tv.
There's not a lot of things to do around the area when it's raining. So it was pretty boring and soon we started to wish to go home already. We couldn't wait for the last few days to be over.
There's no wifi in the rooms either!
There is only one small and outdated grocery shop in the tourist village where you can buy the most necessary things you need, but that's about it.
So there's really not much to do there when it's raining - unless you want to spend all the time in the pool area.
The nice part of this hotel is that it is connected with an underground passage to the wellness center, so you don't get cold or wet.
For us this wasn't one of the best vacations and it wasn't really cheap either - you would think it was, but really, when you consider that you have to buy (and prepare) your own food and clean afterwards as well, it's just not worth it.
