We recently stayed at the Brunello(part of Tartagli), with two other couples. This villa is beautiful, with three lovely rooms and three bathrooms. The living room is large and cozy and the outdoor eating area is fabulous. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, including a welcome basket of Fontanaro's own jam, honey and wine, which we immediately opened!...

We stayed in villa Sangiovese (part of Tartagli) this August with our 17 month old daughter and absolutely loved it! Alina & Lucia are both lovely and really went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was perfect. Although we weren't staying at the main house they still visited us regularly to make sure everything was going well and...

We just returned from our vacation at the Brunello, the 3 bedroom, 3 bath villa at Fontanaro. From the minute we entered, we felt at home. Every accommodation we needed was there, up to an ice maker, dishwasher & microwave. The scenery around us was breathtaking, weather, perfect & Alina & Lucia became our friends immediately. & were there to...

Just back from a superb week staying in the Tartagli accommodation (Sangiovese room) which is part of Il Fontanaro. This was our first proper holiday with our 10 month old daughter so we were very keen to ensure we found somewhere that would be suitable and child friendly. We couldnt have picked a better choice. The tartagli accommodation was slightly...

We were greeted at the train station and driven to il fontanaro on a route through lovely Tuscan/Umbrian hills. Alina and Lucca are passionate about the food, the wine and providing a truly wonderful...

Fontanaro was a week of pure bliss & relaxation, we LOVED everything about the place! Lucia & Alina were amazing hosts and became good friends. The cooking Lesson & Oil & Wine tasting day was so much fun. The pool & gardens were well kept & beckoned us to spend time chilling out each day. The restaurant recommendations were all...

I booked a "Tuscan Farmhouse Experience" day trip tour through Walks of Italy. I could not have been more pleased. Lucia and Alina go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel at home and comfortable right away, even if you're just there for a few hours! We started the afternoon by touring their olive mill and learning about...

We found Il Fontanaro on line and thought it may be a nice place to spend our honeymoon. It is set in quiet countryside, only a ten minute walk from the village of Paciano with three lovely local restaurants and a shop, and is ideal for exploring both Umbria and Tuscany. Owner Lucia provided detailed information about the facilities and...

My parents and I just returned from a week's stay at the Sagrantino villa. The accommodations are first-class. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Lucia, the owner, loves roses, and was planting even more in the gardens, amongst the hedges of rosemary, and the lavender. Also in the gardens are sage and thyme, beautiful. It's such a peaceful place. We even...
