This was an experience we will forever hold special! The property is beautifully built with so much attention to detail. A ‘luxury treehouse’ was unimaginable until we visited Tsala. The teams are absolutely wonderful - I had just left one comment about a special occasion while booking and EVERY SINGLE TEAM MEMBER including at their restaurants that we interacted with knew about it and went the extra mile to make it special for us! I can’t thank the teams enough! The rooms were amazing, comfortable and clean! Food was divine and the overall experience was something completely out of the ordinary. A bit of wildlife with the baboons on the roof made the experience even more real. Went for dinners at the hunters lodge as well as Zinzi! Like everything else, Food and service was amazing and worth adding to the experience! Although the pools aren’t heated, it was clean nonetheless! Mini bar including the alcohol is inclusive! Thank you to the teams at Tsala for making this so special for us!

On our South Africa trip we stopped for 2 nights at the Tsala Tree Top Lodge. The hotel is located about 10 minutes by car outside of Plettenberg Bay. Already the drive through the forest is beautiful. The check-in in the main building is accompanied by a small aperitif. The tree house itself can be reached either by car or on foot via the wooden walkway. Since we lived in house 17 the walk took about 5 minutes. Our accommodation had two beautiful bedrooms, each with a shower in the wet room and an outside shower. The bed was super comfortable. Also the spacious living room offers a lot of space and invites to a romantic fireplace. On the balcony you can enjoy a wonderful view over the forest. On hot days you can also take a refreshing dip in the pool. On the last day we were awakened by the natural "wake up call". A pack of monkeys jumped around on our roof. What an experience! You can also use the pool, the gym and other activities of the sister hotel. It is only a few minutes walk to the hotel. I would like to emphasize the excellent food in the main house. Either the outstanding breakfast buffet as also the dinner was on the highest level! This can either be taken in the building itself or on the terrace. And last but not least, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff should be mentioned. Everything on top level! Tsala Tree Top Lodge is absolutely recommendable.

We stayed here on our recent tour through South Africa. After a beautiful ride from port Elisabeth we arrive in this resort. The villa we had overlooked the valley towards the sea in the distance and had a great sun deck. We chose to have breakfast in our room and enjoyed the great service they provide. Dinner in the main restaurant was also superb. All in all a great place to stay

We stayed here on our honeymoon back in September 2018 and to date, it is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The rooms are private, cosy and kitted out with a complimentary mini bar and wood fire. What more could you want?! The service stands out a mile. You are known by name and the rooms are cleaned and restocked discreetly so that you miraculously return to a perfectly preened environment. I have no idea how they do it! My husband was ill on one morning and the staff made the most incredible fresh ginger concoction which cured him. There is an elephant sanctuary nearby where we enjoyed walking with the elephants. Dinner at hunters lodge restaurant next door was delightful. We also took a drive down to Emily moon restaurant which was incredible. Thank you for an unforgettable experience and I hope we have the opportunity to return in the future.

Wow! This place was just incredible. The rooms are just out of this world. It was more like an apartment than a room. It has a big bedroom with a separate lounge, big bathroom (indoor and outdoor shower, bath, dressing area and two sinks), a small terrace overlooking the forest and a decking area at the front with a plunge pool and deckchairs. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Karin, the manager, treated us like family and was always there looking out for us and giving us advice on what do and where to go. I can't think of one thing that I didn't like about Tsala. It is an expensive luxury hotel but if you can stay even for one night it is really worth it!
