My expectations arriving at this hotel were not high, as I had read the reviews here and elsewhere. Still, it is not easy to find a halfway decent hotel for one night in August in Hanstholm, so I booked anyways. We should have gone elsewhere. I cannot believe this place has four stars. When we arrived at 17:00, tired from... More

Service is rude. Restaurant has terrible food, is unclean, table cloths dirty at breakfast from the day before, bad service, breakfast sparce at best. Rooms unclean and dated, no need to complain. Staff will just blow you off. Go somewhere else unless you like pain.

Stayed here on November 2nd and found the room with open doors to the terrace and garden very nice. Yes it is an old hotel and Hanstholm is not the busiest place in November but hotel is OK . Room was clean and bathroom modern and also clean. Wifi is free and fast. Plenty of shops and a pizzeria across... More

We spent just 1 night here (While visiting the large German Fortifications nearby). Arrival wasn't promising - admittedly we arrived at something like 10pm and we had to ring the bell at the desk quite a few times before a pleasant enough chap arrived. Rooms are nice enough - comfortable and spacious. Oddly there was a quality coffee maker (with... More

Stayed a couple of nights at the hotel on a business trip, and it ticked (almost) all the boxes that are important to me on such a trip: Reception: 24 hour coverage (albeit with the need to hit the bus-boy-bell for service at times); and Very efficient and friendly service at check-in and check-out Restaurant: Good breakfast buffet; and Small... We've stayed there for one night. There isn't any splendid views from the rooms or restaurant. But it is a nice, quiet and small hotel, close by the harbor and some shopping center. The room (nr 2) was very big with a king size, super comfortable bed. Spacious closet - if you're staying for a few days and a nice... More

No aircondition. Expensive beer @ wine. The buffet was fully acceptable. Breakfast awerage.(Eggs were barely cooked at breakfast). (Temperature was abt 30 degrees Celsius outdoors at the time). Service was Ok. You'll have to like WWII bunkers and sand dunes if in the area,a bit like Ireland's Connemara in the valleys. OK,for two days/nights. A bit too expensive, but there are... More

I stayed here for one night, and overall I really liked the hotel. The location and the food (both the dinner and the breakfast was very tasty) were what I liked most about it, the rooms were good enough for one night but I wouldn't want to spend a week in the room I had. But for a overnight stay... More

A very expensive hotel when you you look at what you get: A very small room with a door to the ajourning room which was unlocked (!) until we noticed it and locked it ourselves! You could hear everything going on in the rooms next door, so we were woken up every night by the neighbours. The terrace was dirty... More
