I had booked this hotel for a short break (4 nights) for swimming training and hiking.
I am/was very taken by the very friendly staff no matter what area, most speak German (astonishingly hardly any English). The breakfast and dinner buffet was very rich and varied and need not shy away from comparison with high-priced hotels - on the contrary.
The rooms are comfortable and equipped with all necessary wardrobes, the beds very good. The swimming pool is a dream, depending on the times you can pull your lanes undisturbed for 1 - 2 h.
Massage treatments are affordable and professional. Anyway, I will probably come back for cross-country skiing.

Very nice hotel with excellent cuisine and helpful staff. We really enjoyed both the half-board (buffet) and the restaurant at lunch, where I would like to emphasize the willingness of the staff. The hotel is equipped with a large swimming pool, it's just a pity that the sauna is a bit small for such a large hotel, which was crowded in the evening. Absolutely flawless rooms, great satisfaction.

We really liked our stay at the SrnĂ hotel. We enjoyed walking around the area, the weather was great.
Accommodation at the hotel was fine. The service was slower in the restaurant, when a table became vacant, it was not cleaned for a long time. The buffet dinners were perfect and the breakfasts were also good. We also tried the pool, it's really big but the water was quite cold. We didn't like this thing when we left. We still had half an hour to leave the room and the maid was already telling us how much time we had left to move out. We had packed and just went to get our things... We would love to come back again if we can. Among other things, we were amused by a cat (probably the hotel's), which ate dinner directly from the unfinished plate on the terrace after the guests had left.

It was a surprise to discover such a large hotel in a rather small village of South Bohemia.
The rooms are tastefully appointed, very comfortable beds, good lighting and beautiful soothing wall paper. Large bathroom with all the amenities one could expect. Good wifi connection.
The restaurant was very good, with a large number of options for breakfast and dinner (did not have lunch). Smiling staff who provide a very efficient drinks service to the table. As the restaurant is rather large, I was a bit concerned that my wine order would reach half way through the meal, but it was delivered in just a few minutes !
Nature all around is amazing. One could spend weeks to explore forests, lakes and other natural wonders, not to mention small picturesque villages where you can always stop for a nice beer, or a cup of coffee with delicious cake.
The only drawback, if you do not speak Czech or German, is that not every member of staff speaks English. But since I was travelling with a Czech friend, I did not encounter any communication problems.

Sport hotel in the heart of Sumava . We stayed only 2 nights. We appreciated cheap price for our stay, decent breakfast and huge pool with wellness area after the hiking.
We were disappointed with the mold smell in the lobby area, old furniture, dirty wellness area with spider webs everywhere. Total lack of parking lots ( be prepared not to be able to park your car anywhere after 6pm)
Waiting in the bar for 20 mins to get finaly noticed and order the drinks is really something you do not expect in 4*hotel.
(BTW this is not in any way 4*hotel)
Extremely crowded, with conferences running also during the weekend, which caused full and noisy enviroment. Thick walls also did not add up the points of the quiet and relaxing wellness weekend.
Village Srni is far away from anything, I do recommend to stay in Modrava or Kubova Hut instead and search for different hotel there.For us the first and last visit of this venue

Amazing place with many activities possible if the weather is bad: bowling, 25m swimming pool, ping pong etc.
Nice place, tasty breakfasts and dinners.
Nature around is breath taking as well. Receptionists and all the stuff very nice and helpful all the time. Reception available 24/7. We asked for 2+2 room for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was no problem to arrange this.

Amazing stay! We are always satisfied at SrnĂ. Excellent food, beautiful surroundings, the possibility of trips directly from the place, friendly staff. Ĺ umava is simply beautiful! I recommend this hotel for couples and for families with children. We appreciate that the hotel is dog friendly. Clean rooms, wide choice of meals for breakfast and buffet dinner and amazing pool and steam/sauna. Nice and quiet surrounding. Slow and noisy elevators with poor capacity is the only inconvinience we noticed during our stay.
