We decided to stay in this hotel because it was called "family" hotel and we had two kids. Unfortunatelly we were very disapointed. Location is perfect, parking is free and the restaurant is good but a little bit overpriced (compared to the quality of food). In the hotel receptionist was rude and wanted us to pay for the whole stay during arrival. The room was very spacious (main building, 4 beds) but the equipment was very very basic, old and old-fashioned, wash basin in the bathroom did not worked. The biggest shock was that in the "family" hotel you do not have any equipment for kids - such as toilet seat, kettle, toys. It was very rainy weekend and there is no indoor activity for the kids, I mean no kids corner in the hotel!!
The room is very basic. No kettle, coffee, or tea. Small TV. You get a tiny soap and a sample-like shampoo for one-time use. Mosquitoes were all over the room. When going out to the corridor, there's no light. You need to turn it on every time. Feels like saving is a leading principle here. Breakfast was ok, and the staff was courteous.
This restaurant doesnt serve the food on one table at the same time and the waiters are rude. The food doesnt taste good i strongly say dont go there food is cold en the wine is not from a good qaulity.
We spent 4nights at the hotel during Christmas time. Hotel is located next to ski center, reachable by walk. Receptionist is friendly and check-in is really quick. Hotel offers a lot of free parking slots. There is big supermarket close by, 200-300m and ski renting shop is right behind a corner. We were accomodated in side building called "Depandance" in the room upstairs. The room is a bit smaller than one would expect. It's 4 bedroom, we were two adult and felt really crowded. Furnitures seem new and offer a lot of storage space. The walls are really thin and we could hear clearly noises from next room. Especially when someone is taking stairs, which is super annoing. We could also hear noises from corridors and music from confference room, which is located in ground floor. Breakfast sitting is arranged by the staffs and you ended sitting with strange people. When the machine for artificial snow is turned on, you better close your window. Apart of thin walls and noises from next room, it was pleasant stay given great location and good service. …
This was our 4th stay in Hotel Slunecna Louka and we are already planning for summer 2017. This is a cosy family run hotel located in southern Bohemia's national park and overlooking lake Lipno. Staff are very pleasant and will attend to all your needs. Rooms are spacious with great views of the lake and the Dependance is ideal for families of 5 or 6. There is a restaurant onsite and pizzas are definitely worse the try.
Been to Slunecna Louka for the 2nd time and I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Travelled alone with a 15mo (I took her travel cot along), and upon request we were given a room in the new dependance, not the main building. The hotel is about 100m from the beach, right next to everything you need. Staff is very pleasant at the restaurant, food there is good as well (you get 10% off if you are staying at the hotel), kid's corner. The weather was nice so we could also enjoy the outdoor swimming pool. My only suggestion would be to start breakfast hours a bit earlier - they start at 8am, but when you catter for families with kids, it would be veeeeery useful if breakfast started at 7am!!!
We have stayed there twice for family ski trips.Perfect location. 6o meters from the ski lifts. Simple but efficient rooms. Great restaurant for Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can get crowded at times which means slower service. If you do not mind kids or have kids , this is the place. Lots of children, but Hotel very accommodating . everything you would need for a family ski trip.
The best cost vs benefit you can get in Lipno. The hotel is a stone away from the promenade, the "beach" and the marine, right next to the lift to the tree top, and surrounded by restaurants. It offers a tennis court, small but nice swimming pool, pool bar, playground for kids, petanque, a lovely green area and sauna (paid extra). The food in the restaurant is good, the portions are very big, and the service very friendly. The room we got was spacious, clean, and had a terrace. The only down point is that during the high season the whole area is quite noisy. We travelled with a 5mo baby, so there were times I wished some guests were more considerate at 3am, but all in all a lovely vacation.
We chose this hotel because of the position close to the skilift but not only this was the advantage of our stay. Very nice and attentive staff and the owners, a restaurant with great food and all the facilities for children. We will be definitely back. Thank you.
Beautiful family hotel with very good service, owners are always present and ready to help you. There is a nice restaurant with very good pizzas. I've been there for winter and also summer holidays and for both it is a great place, I would definitely come back.
