We have just spent a pretty well perfect week at Royal Davui. This is a lovely resort with great people running it and working in it. There is a good balance of the professional and the personal here. The villa was wonderful, private, with a view to die for. It was clean and very comfortable. The food was great with a variety of dishes offered each meal and all of a very high standard. The staff were engaged, helpful and friendly. The reef just off the front beach is beautiful. I did 6 scuba dives. The dive master and his team were very competent and focussed on safety which was great. For some of the dives the wind had got up so visibility suffered but there was still interesting stuff to see. The shark dive is cool. The bar and restaurant area serves as a meeting place each evening so you can chat with people from all over the world. The owners Chris and Grant made a point of chatting with the guests as well which we enjoyed. If you want to escape, relax and be spoiled on a unique tropical island resort this may be the place for you. It was for us.…
Wow… this was one holiday we will never forget and for all the right reasons! Chris and Grant and all the staff for that matter are fantastic. Ensuring all our questions were answered before we even arrived and then went above and beyond from the day we arrived on the island. The meals are incredible with a wide variety of delicious cuisines over the 7 days we were lucky enough to spend there. The villa we stayed in was kitted out with everything you could need and the view is jaw dropping not only from the villa but from the restaurant and pool area aswell. The snorkeling literally walking off the beach is great… we saw sharks, rays, squid, octopus, star fish, sea urchin, sea cucumbers, turtles, multitudes of fish species and coral of all colours…. Then you can go to the outer reef and experience an even wider selection! We absolutely loved the night snorkeling and would recommend doing it at least once! With only 16 villas on the island it’s intimate enough to get to socialize and make friends with other visitors if you wish. We will certainly be back to spoil ourselves again someday. Congrats to Chris and Grant for creating/fine tuning this beautiful resort into one holiday we will cherish forever.…
We have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively, and were absolutely blown away by the truly magical feel of this stunning and spectacular private island! It's like nowhere else on earth! From the moment we arrived (by helicopter!) we were totally amazed at the genuine passion of all of the team here, from hosts Chris and Grant who are so personable and professional, to all of the team (seen and unseen!!!) who ensure every second you spend on the island is a very special and memorable one. The sunrise villa (number 13) where we were lucky enough to stay was a beautiful Fijian style. It was totally secluded and private, giving you the feeling of being the only ones here! The views from every vantage point were simply breath-taking and spectacular! We loved taking many dips in the plunge pool to cool down and chill. Everything was on hand for you to enjoy, and we loved the homemade banana bread and champagne on arrival, together with the personal gift bag, such a fabulous touch! The bed was so sumptuous, and made for a fabulous nights sleep after a day of exploring all that the island and local area has to offer. The food was absolutely Michelin star quality, so much choice, we were again absolutely amazed! From the homemade and carefully sourced granola ... one of the many breakfast choices, to the confit of duck, and the perfectly cooked fillet mignon, to the melt in your mouth desserts ... it really is a foodies heaven!!! The chef and his team are so very passionate about the quality and choice of the locally sourced and grown produce, and it was very much appreciated. The bar is a wonderful place to sit and chat with fellow guests and enjoy one of the many gorgeous cocktails on offer! The choice of beverage is surprisingly vast! We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa, and my husband booked another immediately as it was the best he had ever had! (La was his therapist!) The view from the chairs that we relaxed in whilst enjoying a foot massage and treatment was simply divine!!! We were lucky enough to get out and about and experience so many fabulous things to do whilst staying here. From the amazing jet ski adventure, to the outer reef snorkelling, the awesome night snorkelling, to the private sand cay picnic (absolute paradise!!!), each one was superb, and the wonderful teams looked after you so well, nothing was too much trouble. We have made so many memories here, and taken a vast array of photos to keep looking back at, now that we have discovered Royal Davui it is a destination we will visit again and again and again!!! BOOK IT NOW!!! You will agree with everything we have tried to share above!…
The sheer beauty of this Island can’t be described. It’s a very small dot in the ocean but full of beautiful surprises everywhere. From the stunning sunrise and sunsets, to the reef that is unrivalled in its colours and it’s sealife - there is as much to see under the water as above. The island has around 14 villas so there are not too many people but enough to have fun times. There are lots of toys to have fun with from the Hobi cats, kayaks, jet skis and paddle boards as well as snorkeling gear free to use whenever to the more sophisticated dive options and tours with the highlight being your own picnic in a sand cay just sitting in the middle of nowhere. Take a bottle of bubbles and what more could you dream of. The team at Royal Davui are beautiful from their welcome song to meeting your every need with the biggest smiles and cheekiest exchanges then the farewell and safe journey song to finish - we went to few resorts but this team were amazing! Food and menu are designed daily and vegan and vegetarian options are available as well. The absolute stunning natural beauty of this island captivated us every day and we didn’t want to leave.…
We went here on our honeymoon and couldn’t be more thrilled. A true island paradise. Our hosts Chris and Grant were amazing and went out of their way to make the trip unforgettable. Great food, wonderful staff, unique experiences and exotic surroundings. A must visit. Thanks to all at Royal Davui. Allison and Andy
We’ve just arrived home after our second stay at Royal Davui and once again it was amazing. Chris and Grant are fabulous hosts and all of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, they really do make you feel like you’ve come home. Everything was seamless, from getting us to the resort from Nadi to returning us back to Nadi, it all just flowed. Even the Covid tests were done with no trouble at the resort which saved us having to try and organise them ourselves. Our villa was beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed, great bathroom and separate lounge with wet bar, such a bonus and the revamped plunge pool looked amazing. It’s a great place to sit with a glass of something delicious whilst gazing across the blue water to the neighbouring island. The food was so good and the fresh modern menu was most appreciated, with lots of variety. We didn’t see the same thing twice in the week we were there. The wine and cocktail list is as long as your arm, so spoilt for choice! We indulged in a daily massage each in the gorgeous spa, with a view to die for, the spa girls are second to none and there all sorts of pampering treatments on offer. You can do as little or as much as you like and whilst I like a good book and a pool my husband took advantage of the diving, fishing and snorkelling. He caught an enormous tuna and the chef prepared the most delicious sashimi for us that night, can’t get much fresher than that. We have already booked our return trip for next year as it’s just that good. If you want a bit of luxury thrown in with privacy and seclusion as well as amazing food and views etc then come to Royal Davui. Vinaka to Chris, Grant and all the wonderful staff.…
From the moment we stepped onto the tiny plane to take us to the Royal Davui Island Resort, we stepped away from our everyday reality and into a completely new experience of this beautiful land and tropical island paradise get away. The whole experience was world class secluded, private and so relaxed. The service was outstanding - The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was abundant with lots of choices and variety. The Villa had a private plunge pool overlooking the ocean, it was airconditioned and very clean. It was serviced twice a day. There was internet and wifi, a mini bar and filtered water. Lots on offer to do or not. Lots of water sports and a lovely Spa that I would highly recommend. The location was truly out of the way and was a bit tricky to get to as you have to line up your International Flight arrival/departure with the time of the plane and boat to take you to and from the island but we didn't encounter any problems to get there and back. The travel is worth it as when you get there you are truly private and remote. There are many activities on offer on a daily basis and the bar in the evening is lots of fun. What I liked the most was the excellent service and the effort that went in the daily meals which were different each and every day with lots of things to choose from. The thing I liked the least was getting heat stroke and sunburn despite using 50SPF but that's just me...I'm very fare and burn easily. Do not let that put you off as I would love to visit again…
From the moment i was delivered to this oasis tropical paradise, i knew this place was going to be perfect. Over the course of a month long stay spanning alllll across Fiji, this resort was far and above the most luxurious, courteous, decadent place i had the privilege of staying at. The cozy seclusion did not in any way comprimise the highest caliber of luxury. The accommodation was immaculate; pristine beauty 365° views, yet total privacy. I could not hear any of my neighbors. The food was exquisite, the most innovatively gourmet, yet traditional Fijian cuisine, curated special every night. There is something for everyone, i had such a difficult time deciding! And they accommodate for ANY needs. You feel like you are the most important person on the island, the staff is so kind, musically gifted, anticipatory of your every needs. The opportunity for extraordinary excursions and making new friends is so accessible, but so low pressure. They have activities for experienced divers, aspiring musicians, curious anthropologists, or just a lazy lady seeking solitude. There are 2 coconut crabs on the island, which are huge and terrifying. The owners Chris and Grant took time out of their evening to escort me back to my mini-mansion after dinner, as i was a nervous of the dark (despite the easy VERY gently sloping, well-lit trails; i'm a fraidy-cat). When the crabs did emerge, and i screamed in terror, Chris made soft cooing noises, produced 2 tiny top.hats and quickly, efficiently and humanely, placed them atop their heads. Grant pulled out a small flute, which he bagan to play, and the crabs began dancing, as if enchanted cobras. Chris pulled out his hula hoop and the crabs hopped through the hoops, as he offerered up roasted coconut bits as incentives. I applauded and they scuttled into the lush tropical backdrop - all 4 of them - which is also immaculately manicured. This is the nicest place i have ever stayed in my entire life.…
Stunning location, beautiful and attentive staff and relaxing vibe. My partner and I spent 9 night at Royal Davui Island in one of the sunrise villa's. Waking up to the view of the sun rising over Beqa Island every morning was a treat. The diving on offer was also fabulous. The marine crew at Royal Davui were super professional, friendly and so accommodating. Meal time was adjusted to suit our dive times and the food on offer was amazing. We both loved trying the local dishes and have already incorporated some of them into our meals at home. Finally the staff. From booking online, to the daily friendly interactions with all staff, this is what makes Royal Davui special. The team are amazing and catered to whatever we needed and made the stay so personal. You should be proud of the culture you have created in your little piece of paradise. Vinaka. We miss you all and will be back. xx…
What an amazing experience. The Royal Davui is an incredible experience, and you can be as busy or as relaxed as you like. Relax in your villa away from everyone else, or enjoy the pool, or swim, scuba, snorkel, jet ski, sail, kayak - it's all there. I'm generally resort-allergic. I don't love sitting around doing nothing, but I had a fantastic week. What I don't think I grasped is how few people are on the island - really making it a special experience. Don't miss the picnic on the sandbar that's only there at high tide! On top of that, the team at Royal Davui are exceptionally friendly and welcoming and one of the best parts of the visit. As a vegetarian, the menu had lots of options and I never had the same thing twice.
