Giuseppe, Isabella and Antoinette were so welcoming and friendly. They helped us with all our travel arrangements. The atmosphere was relaxed and we felt like family. Isabella’s home cooked cakes were to die for. The Trulli makes it easy to talk to other guests for travel tips or keep to yourself. We missed out on tasting the local butcher/ restaurant but other guests raved about it. Locorotondo and Isabella Donna are a rare find. Love them both. From the Australian connection.

We stayed at Donna Isabella's Trulli from 01 to 5 November, Giuseppe was there to welcome us and recommended restaurants in Locorotondo for dinner, every morning Mrs Isabella welcomed us into her trullo with delicious homemade desserts, we chatted and advice for the visits we had planned, the location is excellent for visiting the enchanting neighboring towns, the large, clean and comfortable apartment, the children had a great time, we will return in the summer to enjoy the swimming pool!! Highly recommended!!

This trulli complex in a country setting is only a few minutes drive from Locorotondo old town. We stayed in “Il Noce” for 3 nights, the triple room located right above the shared kitchen/sitting/guest check-in area. Even though it’s above a common area, it was never noisy while we were there. Starting in the evening, we pretty much had the entire area to ourselves. Wifi was weak during our stay, not sure whether it was specific to the property or the town as a whole but it was not a major issue for us as we had data. Because it’s a trulli, the roof may be curved in certain parts of the room. If the room is located on the upper floor, there’s a good chance that it may have low clearance in certain areas and tall people need to be aware of that and confirm if the rooms on the ground floor have the same characteristic. The hosts, Donna and her son, Giuseppe, made us felt at home. Donna made us bacon and egg breakfast everyday. Besides, she also offered us her homemade jam, pies plus fresh fruits, juice, and coffee. We really loved its location. The complex not only has an abundance of parking, it’s a perfect base for exploring Puglia and we did day trips to places, such as, Alberobello, Castellana Grotto, Martina Franca, Polignano, Ostuni, Monopoli, Lecce etc. It was really good value for the money and would highly recommend staying there.

Lovely place just outside of the center of town. This place has all the comfort we needed. Because it is a trulli and has curved walls, we need to watch not to hit our heads, especially in the bathroom. Breakfast was prepared by Isabella and her homemade cakes were just delicious!! Isabella made us feel at home and she was a wonderful hostess!

This one out of a thousand experience in a great location, Locorotondo.
We stayed 3 nights and we enjoyed the delicious food and breakfast, all home made by Donna Isabella. The rooms are so cosy and beautiful decorated. Grazie per l'ottimo cibo e il soggiorno piacevole, Isabella !

We stayed six nights at Trulli Donna Isabella and considered it one of our best B&B experiences ever. The owner is such delightful host. She has a relaxed and welcoming demeanor that makes her guests feel right at home.

Her place is just outside town, in a quiet Locorotondo neighborhood. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and had everything we needed. The shower was great and the bedding had that wonderful feel of crispy-clean bed sheets.

She loved to prepare breakfast for us, suggesting and cooking things we liked, like eggs and bacon. Everything was delicious.

We could not recommend her more. If you can, reserve directly by email, she’ll appreciate it.

I wanted to stay in a traditional trulli house and this was perfect. Isabella and her family were absolutely charming and wanted to make our stay really enjoyable. Breakfasts were fantastic - Isabella’s cakes were home made and amazing - figs and grapes were from her garden - and the fresh coffee just kept coming. If you said you liked something or asked about it then it would appear the next morning. I got to try prickly pear just from showing her a picture I’d taken at a local market. For me, my best night of the entire holiday was learning how to make orecchiette pasta from Isabella and then eating it along with a delicious meal she and her husband had prepared.
On a practical note - parking was on site, there was a supermarket just opposite and a fantastic, very cheap local coffee/drinks bar just around the corner near the church. The town was a10 - 15 minute walk and had some gorgeous places to eat. This is a great base for travelling to loads of great places.

I wanted to stay in a traditional trulli house and this was perfect. Isabella and her family did everything they could to make our stay truly memorable. Breakfasts were eaten outside - home made cakes - freshly baked - fruit from their own trees and vines, fresh cheeses and an endless supply of coffee. I asked Isabella about a fruit I’d seen in the local market in Martina Franca , it was a type of prickly pear - i got to taste it the next morning at breakfast . The best evening of my entire holiday was spent learning how to make the local orecchiette pasta from Isabella then sitting down to eat it along with a fabulous meal prepared by Isabella and her husband.
On a practical level there is on site parking, a supermarket just across the road, a great cheap local coffee/drinks bar just around the corner near the church - and the old town is only 10 - 15 minutes walk and has some great restaurants. Loved staying here .

Don’t expect a Five Star Hotel when reserving in a Trulli. You are here for the experience. This was a very different experience, rustic but functional. Don’t be put off by the fact that the Dona Isabella is in an “industrial zone”, it is really more like a small farm on the very outskirts of town. The driveway and yard were a bit unkempt, but the garden area around the trulli buildings was nice especially after it was mowed. We did not get the room we had reserved but ended up in a similar room—Noce is above the kitchen and dining area so, as expected, it was more noisy than the room we had reserved, however, in the end, this didn’t bother us at all.
Breakfast was nice, with cakes and sweets, and we were served scrambled eggs with bacon every day.
They advertise a 10 minute walk to Old Town Locorotondo—you have to be quick to make it in ten minutes, and that is only to the perimeter of town—then another five minutes uphill to the Main Street.
Only complaint was the poor lighting in our room—couldn’t read a book in bed in the evening, but we were pretty tired and ready for lights out anyway.
Don’t miss Gianni’s butcher shop and restaurant if you are looking for a dinner of meat!!! Wonderful sausages and meats, cured locally, and very reasonably priced—only 200 yards from Dona Isabella!! Dinner all over Puglia seems to start at 9:00pm—go earlier and you will likely dine alone.

Isabella is the perfect host, we felt truly at home in this beautiful and comfortable B&B which is both insta-perfect and genuine. We were served amazing breakfasts and were helped to find our way around the area. The place is situated a short walk outside Locortondo's medieval center, which makes it more spacious and easy with parking. Highly recommended!

la nostra stanza era con tetto a cummersa, tipico della zona...non e' proprio un trullo, ma molto simile. il wi fi funziona benissimo, la nostra stanza non aveva cucina, in quanto ho scelto la camera con colazione. Non ci sono tasse
