Nothing was too much trouble. I had agreed to share a room with a friend. Little did I know what an Austrian twin room was( google it if you don’t know) we had already had a nightmare journey getting to the resort due to plane cancellations and bad weather, only to find that I had to share a bed with my mate. The hotel staff were more than helpful and gave me a room of my own at no extra charge. The hard work to keep us all happy continued throughout the week. The food is delicious and plentiful including the hot soup and delicious cakes waiting for us when we get back in the late afternoon. The main hotel is rustic, warm and clean and the annex which is a few steps away is more modern. There is a spacious secure boot room and a swimming pool and sauna. The only complaint I have. Is that, all this put together with the wonderful skiing made the week pass by far too quickly.

The hotel is showing its age, but it is still worth paying extra to have a beautiful view of the glacier from the window. It is very clean and friendly service. Dinner included in the price of the stay, but definitely exaggerated. There are too many salads, starters, soup, main course, dessert and cheese. Too much. A week and you'll gain a few kilos. Overall, I highly recommend this place for both long and short stays

Have stayed here a few times now. The food has always been passable (it’s not expensive so one is prepared to accept average). However this week was really below par. They try to offer a six course dinner but frankly it would be better to offer three really GOOD but simple courses. The rooms are excellent and the proximity to the skiing very good too. The sauna is second rate and unkempt with broken tiles and an rather unloved feel. Obviously we will be back but I’d like to see some improvements on the food or will see if we can book room only !

This hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed at. The rooms, the pool, the sauna are all 1980s standard, it seems that nothing was invested since then: brown tiles in the bathrooms, disgusting carpet, the pool has rusty uncovered holes at the bottom, the sauna area is full of black mould. Food is inedible, service chaotic and unfriendly. And despite all that it’s quite pricey. Life is too short for something like this!

We stayed for two nights to visit the Hintertux Glacier and the surrounding mountains. The hotel is solid and a bit dated, but very well kept and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spa is a bit old, and the Sauna area is completely underground (no windows), but the swimming pool is really big with a great view. The hotel is located conveniently in the center of Hintertux, 5 minutes from the gondola station.

Delicious breakfast with fresh bread, juice and fruits, quiet hotel, perfect location to reach by car and get to the slopes by the free ski bus. Lunch and dinner didn’t include that many vegetarian options, but otherwise there was lots of good options to eat!

For a first time visit to the Hintertux ski area 14 of us stayed at the Badhotel Kirchler. This is a charming traditional style hotel and epitomises traditional hospitality- from post skiing snacks to the efficient and well organised dining room. The dining room provided wholesome, varied and copious meals - enough to keep active skiers fully charged. Prices are reasonable and associated discounts with the neighbouring ski shop well worth using .

I have visited this hotel many times over the last 15 years. The service was top notch. Food, although predictable, was served well I stayed here the 1st week in November 2019. It’s just awful. Where to start. Well it’s obvious that the mother, the matriarch, has retired. She would never have put up with this level of service. The rooms: they need a real serious overhaul. Really in need of an upgrade. The rooms are sweltering and any attempts to turn down the heating just do not work. Slept with the balcony windows open during a blizzard. The bar: The Barman that used to be here was excellent he could serve 3 or 4 people at once. Now? Good luck getting served within 5!minutes even in an empty bar and when your order is taken expect to wait another 5-10 minutes for it to arrive. I ordered the house wine. You could smell it was off when he poured it. He was not happy that I asked for it to be changed only for him to serve the same wine to a fellow guest who also told him to take it back. The restaurant staff did us a favour by serving us. English was not their strongest language but, as a German speaker, their German was not very good either. The maitre’D is Hungarian and has obviously brought in his own people. Almost to much trouble to try and get something different. The food is plentiful but year after year it’s the same thing. Breakfast is excellent. The evening meal can take 2 hours. All in all after 15 years I won’t be returning that for sure.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, just in front of the Hintertuxer Gletscher (12 min walking), so it has great views. The hotel is very quiet and familiar. The breakfast has many options and the food for dinner is quite good. The pool and sauna are ok, bit old but with good views to relax after trekking or skying. The bad things: I didn´t like at all the mattress of my bed (single room with no views). It was a spring mattress and I felt the springs on my back every night. The hotel is a bit old fashioned. The hair dryer stopped every 5 minutes, so for women it is difficult.
