On approach to this fabulous manior house you pass some highly average houses. This hotel stands proud in the village! Greeted by the proprietor who was welcoming, kind and knowledgeable. We stayed one night as I was running a race nearby. Our room was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Very tastefully decorated. Tiny en-suite bathroom but the bedroom afforded fabulous views... More

I was on my way to the south of France from our home in Paris, and this beautiful place was the perfect stopover. The property is beautiful, tastefully decorated, with lots of space for my kids to run around. I travel alone with my two young children (8 and 3) and do my best to keep them in line, but... More

My husband, mother and I stayed here in June this year, the rooms were lovely, bathrooms modern, and a adequate breakfast supplied. What was lovely about this manor was the hospitable hosts who were willing to give you some history about the home and the area. The property was large with beautiful gardens overlooking a small forest, which we viewed... More

My husband and I stayed at the end of June for 2 nights. The hosts really know how to make you at home. I was a little ill when we arrived and Frances cared for me like I was a relative :) The house has been extremely beautifully restored and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was really nice,... More

Well worth the effort tracking down this gem - satnav does work as long as you enter the correct address! Our hosts were most welcoming and we were very happy with our room - beautiful views of the countryside. No complaints and after a generous petit dejeuner we left refreshed for our road trip South. We would, given the chance,... More

Lovely welcoming hosts even though we arrived very late having got completely lost on the way. Spotlessly clean accommodation and very comfortable beds with lovely linen sheets. Gorgeous setting in the midst of the beautiful French countryside.. Only spent one night but would like to have stayed forever!

My wife and I stayed at the beginning of August for 1 night in the Peyrafort Suite. The room was extremely spacious and immaculately clean, as was the en-suite bathroom. The tea/coffee facilities were great to start with, and made even better by Frances bringing us Tetley tea and fresh milk. The bed was very comfortable and the free Wi-Fi... More

We are in France for six weeks and needed to stay near Tulle for a couple of nights. We found this place on the internet and thought it would be wonderful to stay in a grand house. We never imagined our stay could be so good. Ian and Frances are gracious hosts. The place is spotlessly clean. (We are Americans... More

The room was large and had ensuite facilities which were very good however we opted for the summer menu as we had had a long drive. We weren't offered anything on arrival a drink or even water. All the other places we have stayed at we have usually been offered something be it tea, coffee or a glass of wine... More

The approach, through what amounts to an uninspiring housing estate, is not auspicious. Our anxiety grew until we spotted the large pillars and the manoir itself, set above and apart from its modern neighbours in a large garden. Our room was also large and the en suite bathroom, too, with bath and strong shower - and loads of hot water.... More
