We had a wonderful night in this cute little village. We arrived in the early afternoon so the owner met us. What a lovely man he turned out to be! He checked us into our little rooms and told us where we could visit for wine tastings. They serve drinks, dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed them all!

I found this Hotel by chance whilst travelling through France on my motorcycle. I was well received by the gentleman who spoke excellent English and a great sense of humour. The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of the village and close to all amenities (if you can find any that are open) The rooms are squeaky clean and... More

We spent 3 nights here in one of the room called 'British', Very Warm Welcome from the couple which makes us feel like home. We enjoy every second of our time there. The restaurant served daily breakfast (change everyday) , The restaurant menu is very affordable with super warm service from Angeline, This place left us such a great memoir... More

Charming small hotel on a quiet square very near to the ancient chateau. We came here on bikes two years ago and again, on our return visit, we forgot that they close in the afternoon until 17:30, which can be inconvenient after a long cycle trip. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a small double bedroom with large bathroom.... More

Comfortable, cozy, friendly atmosphere, an excellent and copious breakfast... A friendly, well-informed, chatty and helpful owner who welcomes bikers... A small and tranquil town with an enormous fortress of historical importance... A place to repeat

There isn't a lot going on in the town itself, but Villandraut is a perfect base for touring the Grave and Sauterne wine regions. The hotel is very comfortable, and you will not find a more personable host in all of France than Ronan Talbot. Dinner is well worth a detour here if you get within 20km of the restaurant.... More

Owners friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the rooms had character and were clean and comfortable. The village is attractive and the castle interesting. We found it an ideal centre for exploring the area.

Rang to book but arrived much later than expected on a quiet Sun evening. Ushered straight into restaurant before room and made comfortable and welcome. Superb home cooked quality meal - my king prawn salad starter and steak main were spot on as was wife's fresh ravioli. Topped off with stunning Chateau de Budos 2009 red, recommended by host and... We can not thank enough the hotel staff for their generosity and availability! They were up super early to print our son's airplane tickets. The village is really nice, our son stayed at the chantier to help restore the Villandraut castle, the village is quiet and charming, the area is full of vineyards and very relaxing.

We were on vacation and end up cycling through a technical fault on a bike in this small but cozy hotel The owner spoke to us in English which was very nice because our French is pretty sunk. He was very humorous. The petit dejeuner was well looked after. He even provided us with a tire repair kit, because I... More
