Recetly we spent a weekend of wine-drinking (this is "Schilcher"-region) at Gasthaus Fuchswirt.
Rooms are very original, spread over three very-well-renovated old houses. The food was very good, especially the "Backhendel", and don't miss out on trying the Schilcher-wine as well as the autumn-speciality "Sturm".
You can also buy wine, Kernöl, honey, spirits to take home: everything locally produced.

We stayed there several time in 2010 and 2012. We can recommend the converted wine cellar (Weinstöckl) and the romantic rooms which located in origional styrian houses and nicely decorated. In autumn you have to book well in advance as they are loacated right in the middle of the wine hills and thousends of people will flood this area from September until October.
In the restaurant you get local specialities. We love the fried eggs with the "Kernöl" (dark oil from the local pumpkin) or the breaded chicken.
