We live in South Africa and have stayed in various lodges in Southern Africa, but this was our first visit to Esiweni and we will be back. The Lodge is beautiful, the food was wonderful (we seemed to be eating every few hours), and all the staff were lovely. Pemba our guide was not only very knowledgable, but also good... More

I live in Canada and my brother Russell lives in the US and our 88 year old mother lives in Durban. We had a quick weekend together at Esewini! Our time together at Ezewini was just incredible, starting with the welcome, the hospitality, the wonderful staff, the food which was to die for and the game drives. We loved every... More

We visited this beautiful lodge in the private Nambiti game reserve, March 2016. This was our first safari and we loved every minute. Esiweni is a small, family run lodge on the exclusive game reserve. It is a big 5 reserve and carefully managed with a view to protecting the animals and conservation. We had a very warm welcome from... More

Our review is long overdue but as they say, better late than never! We stayed at Esiweni in September for our honeymoon during an unusually cold couple of days. Sophie and Ludovic went out of their way to accommodate the game drives, the activities and our lodge to account for this. The service was 5 stars and authentic, Nambiti is... More

This is the second time we had the chance to go to Esiweni Lodge . This place has something sacred , that soothes the soul. A breathtaking view , very comfortable rooms , a real rest. A parenthesis in our urban lives , active and stressed. The cuisine of the new chef is even better , very inventive and fresh.... More

We loved our visit! It exceeded all our expectations. The hosts, Sophie and Ludovic, were charming, helpful but unobtrusive. The accommodation was wonderful and peaceful - a proper escape from everyday busy lives. Our guide, Siya, was excellent - informative, cheerful and determined to ensure we saw everything we wanted and had fun. The other staff were great too -... More

It was the first time that I went on a safari to this amazing place with a breathtaking view. The Esiweni lodge, on top of a cliff over the Sunday river, is just wonderful with amazing food and service. We went on several game drives and each of them was a new experience as the Nambiti Reserve offers a large... More

Esiweni is a beautiful small lodge in a stunning location. It is owned by a french couple, who are delightful and very helpful. We spent Christmas there, and much enjoyed it. The game drives were good and excellent for people who have never been to South Africa before, as one almost always sees 4 of the big 5, which is... More

On the positive side : Beautiful location and lodge .Scenery from the lodge is breath taking and the rooms are georgious. The games drives are also beautiful with very good chances of spotting the big 5 considering the richness of the game reserve. Very good massages in the rooms. What needs to be improved : Despite the attention of the... More

I went on a weeklong vacation with my extended family, including my 80 year old grandmother. Our stay was quite simply perfect. The lodge is beautifully decorated with fabulous views everywhere you look, the staff could not be more attentive and the food comparable with any excellent Parisian restaurant.
