Elephant Rock has done it! They effectively combine outstanding cuisine, excellent yet comfortable (styled with the bush in mind and not pretentious) accommodation with informative game drives. Attention to the small details is what impressed me as well. We were greeted with drinks at the door on our arrival, warm hand towels after the game drives to refresh after the...

My family and I stayed at Elephant Rock lodge in the stunning Nambiti reserve back in January and have been recommending it to everyone and anyone ever since our stay. If you want to stay in a lodge that feels as if its exclusively yours, this is the place for you. Despite, another family also staying within the lodge grounds,...

We stayed 2 nights at Elephant Rock (wanted longer but so popular, fully booked). Everything about our stay was first class, from the friendliness of the staff, the beautiful views from the top class chalet, fantastic meals and the professionalism shown by all in helping us to relax knowing our stay was all planned out to perfection. Only stayed one night but wished I could have stayed longer. Great food and a warm welcome when you arrive and each time you come back from a drive, hot towels and something to drink as you enter lodge. Everything was so good, the main lodge with comfortable furniture, interesting books and lovely views. Managed to fit in a quick...

This Lodge feels very personal as it only sleeps 10. They have thought of everything to ensure a comfortable, luxury break. The lodges are fitted out lovely. The bathrooms are amazing and the bedroom terrace with the big chairs with a view of the water hole unbeleavable. The staff are great and the food perfect. Steph was a very knowledgable...

The staff were first class and went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Sightings of game, both small as well as the larger stars, was excellent and...

We were staying with family in Pietermaritzburg (about 2 hours drive from Nambiti), and chose Elephant Rock Lodge after reviewing all the available options. We could not have chosen better. This is a small lodge, with just 5 chalets accommodating up to 10 people. If you book the whole lodge you get one of the chalets free and as there...
