Hubby and I stayed at Elephant Rock for just one night, but we would have loved to stay longer! Overall an exceptional stay. The food was plentiful and delicious, the game drives informative and entertaining, our ranger - Keegan - great company, the room spacious with the added touch of rose petals, lit candles, and chocolates. Stacy, Renee, Zanele, and Keegan were all very accommodating and made us feel very much at home on holiday. We were supplied with hot water bottles and blankets for the game drive, and welcomed back from the drive by a soothing hot chocolate or sherry, and hot towels. My hubby even lost his phone on the evening game drive and our ranger went out of his way to find it, going back out in search of it in the dark of the night (he found it!)! It would have been great if the pool was heated and the mattress a little softer, but the plusses far outweigh these small shortcomings. Definitely a safari vacay worth experiencing!

Elephant Rock never disappoints. From the great treatment from Steve and the team at the lodge, to delicious meals to enjoyable game drives. This time went for three nights, and this certainly makes for a really relaxing stay. A wonderful day to the Cascades picnic site on the reserve, a first for me and what a treat. All in all a wonderful few days with special friends at a great place.

Just spent a beautiful weekend at Elephant Rock. Saw the big four and the leopard's footprint. I know they're there..... just elusive. Coming back to see you ! Fab location, easy distance from Durban with wonderful game viewing. The Lodge , fare and staff are all superb - welcoming and friendly. We had great game drives and very good sighting. Despite the cold weather, the lodge staff warmed us with great fires, hot water bottles and friendly cheer. Definitely worth a visit.

I'm not sure if it's the 5 star , attentive personal service , or the delicious and varied menu, teamed with a very good selection of wine for a small lodge , in a beautiful location overlooking a watering hole ; alternately the well informed ranger almost guaranteeing my favourite sighting of lion ( no pressure ) , the large array of birdlife , the peace of the endless grassy vlei , steaming face wipes as we emerge from the game vehicle , warm welcoming hosts ensuring our comfort , roaring log fire to drive away the cold , which all blend to create an experience which is the highlight of my calender ! This was my first 3 night stay , and I would suggest that this is the sweet spot , as regards length of stay . Elephant rock staff go above and beyond , to personalise the visit . The rooms are spacious , well appointed and extremely comfortable . Covid protocols are strictly adhered too , which further enable the guests to completely relax ! I would look no further than Elephant Rock in Nambiti for your mandatory game experience, right here in the middle of Kzn . To top it all , the price is extremely competitive! Well done ER team : you promised and delivered once more . Can't wait to go back ! Leanne St Clair
