The building is stuffed with objets d'art, bric-a-brac, valuables and who knows what. Every room is different. There's a posse of friendly cats who will generously let you pet them, and give you a baleful stare if they think you're sitting in their spot, and the breakfasts are to die for. The location is perfect: right in the centre of... More

What a great find behind the church. Church bells very quiet so no need to worry about sleep. Rooms are art deco style and very comfortable too. Great breakfast & importantly the lady running it a such a lovely person.

I stayed two nights in this wonderful period era home. Rooms are beautifully furnished, with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection of Belgian foods including local cheese, jams, marmalade and four different kinds of chocolate paste. I even found a Belgian chocolate egg on my pillow on Easter Sunday. One of the... More

A charming and quaint boutique hotel with a lovely cosy and welcoming feel. The patrons are friendly, warm and good humoured. I've had a couple of stays here and always had a very comfortable stay. The bedrooms are very different, with different tariffs. I like the space of the bird room and en suite. It's also very atmospheric and it's... More

My girlfriend and I stayed one night at Le Petit Chapitre and we really enjoyed. We stayed in the cotton room. It was really like going back in time. Despite the retro style of the room, the bed was really comfortable, good heating and the room very well isolated from outdoor noise (we didn't even hear the bell from the... More

The charm of this small bed & breakfast hotel is in the decor and the fact that every room is different and is themed and full of character. The owner is super friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Our party had 3 rooms and they were all lovely. One point to note is that whilst all rooms... More

We keep going back and back and back to Le Petit Chapitre, it is so good. Brigitte and Guy warmly welcome guests to their charming shabby chic B and B. Beautiful bedrooms each as individual as the next and all beautifully decorated. The breakfast table is a joy to see with different beautiful crockery each day. Breakfast is accompanied with... We booked based on the TripAdvisor reviews and had one of the cheaper rooms on the 1st floor and found it small and cluttered. No room for us and our stuff. Worse was that we felt that the room could use a good clean, the amount of stuff is probably in the way of the cleaner getting to it properly.... More

We stayed in the Chambre Oiseau. The Bird Room. Big and bright and lovingly decorated, it faces the church opposite. The only quibbles I had with the room were the pillows (they were quite elderly) and the tub (no shower head). The bathroom is carpeted, which took me aback as well. Our hostess did offer the shower in another room... More

Dear I'm glad you had a pleasant moment in " Le Petit Chapitre " The weather was fine allowing you to enjoy the small terrace in the company of "Sylvie" the house cat! :-) In response to your concerns about the pillows, I wanted to inform you that those are "feather" and sometimes have a look ... too soft ....... We have stayed at Le Petit Chapitre on several occasions travelling through Belgium. It is a small B & B with 5 very different and characterful rooms. It is set in a small square just off the main square in Chimay, ideal for popping out for a bite to eat. English is spoken and you can pay with card. The... More
