The hotel is located right in the old town, a perfect location to explore the surroundings. Our room was at the top floor, just under the roof with views of the church steeple. Breakfast was well appointed and the staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
+ Good sized rooms, good walk in shower (though rather slippery) though for a restricted mobility room the shower head was at about 8 feet when we arrived. Front staff, and cafe staff professional and efficient. Central for the town and the Castello. - A bit of a rabbit warren of rooms. Secure parking a little way away, though free. Not easy to park outside to unload luggage - you need some luck with a space or traffic.
The hotel is located in a palace that was renovated in 2012. Thanks to the navigation, we found the unassuming hotel on the first try. We spent one night in this hotel on our trip and it became a worthwhile stay to "discover" the picturesque town of Fossano. We were able to use the secure car park which is only 200m from the hotel, At the hotel we were very kindly welcomed and escorted to our room. We had booked a standard room and were upgraded to a very nice and tastefully decorated room and bathroom. The design and lighting concept is very well implemented throughout the hotel. It is one of those hotels where you immediately feel at home. The breakfast room is an absolute eye-catcher, where we could start the day at a very nice and delicious breakfast buffet. The prices are absolutely fair. In the hotel, at the bar and in the restaurant we were served in a very friendly and professional way. Many thanks also to Carlos, who helped us with tips on Fassone. We experienced a very good service in all areas of the hotel, which contributed a lot to our feel-good stay. Molte grazie a tutta la squadra, saremo felici di tornare.…
We just checked out of Palazzo Righini, on Sunday, after a five night stay. I have stayed at the hotel many times over the past 9 years. There is no question that I will return. It is the finest hotel in the Fossano area. It’s excellence is deserved for the beautiful building, the very attentive and professional staff and the outstanding food & beverage. Un grande grazie a tutto lo staff dell'hotel
Small palace which has been restored perfectly. Just a hint of modern in the traditional palace. Amazing grand breakfast room and just a great vibe and beautiful areas wherever you look. Not much to do in town though apart from a short walk.
We stayed for 3 nights as a base for going to Barolo vineyards. This was a beautiful and very practically priced hotel. Easy valet parking. Rooms were very nice with good size bathroom and big walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Nice and quiet for good nights sleep. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection. The restaurant is worth going to. We went to many good restaurants in Piedmont but the hotels restaurant was our favorite and the service was perfect. The lounge and bar area also are very nice with good wine selection and appetizers. The Spa which is also included in price, allows you to reserve use of its facilities for an hour. It was a nice touch, especially after touring all day. Overall after a long search on line, I found this hotel had the best price point. Very friendly and helpful staff. Five star service and quality!…
Great hotel, great service and phenomenal restaurant. Very ambitious and impressive dining. The rooms are clean and high class. The surrounding town is nothing special, but the wine country in close proximity are one of the 8 wonders of the world.
the first impression promises great things when you arrive. We took a suite, very nice . Unfortunately we must not go into details. The bedding was very poor quality you can feel the springs in the back, the bedsheets was rough, the pillows was hard and poor quality. There was not even a very soft duvet how you can find in a hotel of this standard. Was a shame to take a nice hotel like this to spend a poor night:( you need to have poor consideration for your customers to make them sleep in a bed of such bad quality..while in the bathroom the jets shower unfortunately didn’t work for half of the jets. To finish about the room it was very noisy, obviously in these old buildings with the wooden floor can feel the presence of your neighbors from above. They did not notice at the checkout at the time of our departure they did any commercial gesture On the bill. Only « sorry » is not enough. the breakfast was ok..but no interest. Poor value for money...the decoration do not make everything.…
We stayed two nights while visiting the Barolo wine region and were quite pleased. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The building is beautiful with a choice of eating options. The staff is truly exceptional with excellent English and friendliness. Truly felt right at home. An absolute must stay.
Our experience mirrors previous reviews and the hotel is indeed stunning. However there are not many previous mentions of what good value the restaurant is. The wine list starts at such low prices I had to question whether the figures were by the glass of the bottle. They were indeed by the bottle which makes a very pleasant change! The only negative for us (although might seem insignificant to others) is that our request for an iron was refused because “they don’t provide irons to guests”. Apparently they have an external laundry service, however that is of no help whatsoever when we are arriving at the hotel in the late afternoon and want to iron a shirt for dinner. We probably stay in around 50 different hotels each year and this is the first time EVER that I have been refused an iron. The management really need to reconsider this as it put a damper on our evening having to go to dinner in a sweatshirt which was the only thing I had that didn’t need ironing. I can’t think of any reason not to provide irons other inconvenience to the staff, potential damage to rooms or forcing guests to use an expensive laundry service. The service here is generally so good that I can’t see why they would withhold an iron and whilst the furnishings are fabulous we have stayed in many hotels of equal status where they have been happy to provide an iron so management, if you read this, please change your policy and put your guests needs first! …
