This resort has it all; it is located in a beautiful secluded bay with sandy beach and clear, calm waters allowing you to stare at sunsets, dreaming your worries away or taking a swim any time of the day or night as there is no currents (or very weak ones). The cottages are beautiful, hammocks plentiful and there is a lush forest just in the back of the resort, where you can easily spot sulawesi hornbills flying around in the mornings. The food is very tasty and diverse, lots of fruits and veggies and the staff is friendly and always ready to help. The diving is great, we saw some big sharks also! The islands feel remote and it is exactly as on the photos! It is well taken care for the diving safety and the crew makes sure all your wishes are met, even the ones after diving - we played cards, played guitar&sang...or I just lied on the beach in the nights, watching falling stars once the generator was turned off each night. I cannot imagine what could have been better, the people here are wonderful and they give this place a soul! I would highly recommend Harmony Bay, I definitely plan to come back! All the best, keep up the great work! I miss your smiles already!…
What a pleasant stay. My friends and I were having a trip to Togean Islands and stay at Harmony Bay. When we arrived at the harbor, our tour guide Mr. Owan and Mr. Yem nicely welcomes us all. Entering the resort, we are so surprised with the enchanting view of the sea, island, and the corals.. so beautiful! Mr. Yayan also waits and welcoming us in front of the resort. Their cottage was so nice and cozy with all the hammocks and bed. The restaurant was very clean and food was good, their staff at the restaurant Halima and the other woman were very accommodating and nice. This resort literally has everything we need, they provide all of the snorkeling and diving stuffs, cano, speed boat, spa, and even do laundry. But, the electricity only available starting at 6 to 11 pm and it’s enough to recharge our gadgets. This private resort is so nice, peaceful, and perfect for having an escape from our hectic urban life. One thing gives me deep impression, which is upon check out their staff told us that they will wait until our ferry pass by resort, and they will light up their flashlights as a last goodbye. And, they did it. At first we didn’t noticed since it’s already dark when we leave the harbor, we couldn’t recognize if we are passing the resort until flashlights started to blinking. A small thing but means a lot, that moment becomes so emotional for my friends and I. We’re so touched with the warm hospitality given by staff during our stay and even when we’re leaving togean island. With all my heart, once again I wanna thank to a all of Harmony Bay Resort staff Yayan, Yem, Halima, Sofia, Michael, and the other old man and woman (sorry I didn’t know their name) for making our holiday becomes more memorable. Wish them to keep healthy, and success for Harmony Bay Resort.…
We booked for 2 nights but stayed for 4 nights because we loved it so much!! The owners are super friendly and so is the staff! The location is like paradise, and they keep the beach super clean! The food was delicious! The bathroom of the cottage is great, the matras of the bed can be improved. But we definitely recommend this place!!
Wonderful place, very professional managed! Enjoyed our stay so much. Could not be better. Such a relaxing and calm place ... loved to snorkel and relax at the wonderful bungalow! if available book the seaside bungalow. It’s really amazing!
We stayed for 7 nights in HB resort in economy room with shared bathroom. There was literally nothing to complain. HB resort is in a private bay with a nice beach which is still in its natural condition (means: there are coral right off the beach, which means you need to find you way in and out, with the advantage that marine life is still in a good condition and also the beach faces no erosion). The place is very clean including rooms, beach and as well the shared bathrooms. Food is very good and fresh (fresh fish daily and also changing meals from pasta to rice and different vegetables). The place is situated close to Wakai (ferry landing point), so it is only a short boat transfer. Despite the vicinity of this village, you cannot see it, so you really feel away from everything. There is also a little dive center attached, professionally run by Rok (Instructor for courses) and Maikel (Divemaster). Divesites are close and diving groups tend to be very small (1-5 persons, depending on guest). The hosts, Valentina and Rok - as also there local staff - are very friendly and welcoming. However, if you expect a 5 star resort on a remote island with all facilities you might find at home in Europe or any other westerner country you are at the wrong place - it remains a remote island and a region not really developped (e.g.: fresh water needs to be brought by boat every day..) - keeping that in mind you will have a great time here.…
Togean Island is a fantastic place to visit even if the logistic is a challenge. We had booked 5 nights at Harmony Bay and the guests are a mix of young backpackers and divers. I came for the diving and was not disappointed. Michael is the perfect guide and in one of the dives at Una Una Island we even saw a pair of hammerhead sharks. The water is clean and without the garbage you find in Buaken and other places. The food was OK, but nothing more. Some days the guests would like to have a little more that they got. Some mornings there was a selection of eggs or pancaces etc. Other mornings it was fruit and a pancace for all and no further choice. Many of the guests had cancelled flights, delayd ferries or other logisic problems reaching the Togeans and also in the reseption there is a warning not to plan to tight. Therefore we told the management 3 days before that we would check out the day before than we had first planned. The management offered a few negative comnents related to our departure and we had to pay for 5 nights even if we told them 3 days in advance that we would stay 4 nights. An earlier check out was right, since the flight from Ampana to Palu was cancelled (cancelling rate is 50% Wings Air staff told us). We took a car to Palu for 8 hours and got on the plane to Manado and then to Singapore. Our original plan would not have worked. The most disturbing issue was that we discovered cockroaches in the Delux Beach Bungalow and there were more than one of them. The staff sprayed in the bungalow every evening, but then we just discovered new cockroaches in the bungalow. The days were nice in Harmony Bay, but as soon as it got dark the cockroaches, wasps, spiders, bats and other creatures made it an unpleasant stay for us. We can live with most of it and understand that this is a part of the surrounding nature. But having to clean your luggage for cockroaches every evening is not something we would not like to experience again. This is a management issue that should be taken more seriously.…
Pictures and words can’t describe feelings and tranquility one feels here. Food is prepared fresh daily. We had potatoes, rice, spaghetti, noodles, fish, chicken. Breakfast was always with fresh fruits and different each day. Beach and corals are full of life so snorkeling is amazing. Dive center is equipped with newest equipment and offers amazing dive places for those who need more then snorkeling. Staff running the place is kind always smiling and ready to help. Rok and Valentina are owners and they come from Europe and they speak Indonesian so they helped with ferry arrangements and helped us when English was not enough.
Wonderful place surrounded by pure jungle. Very nice snorkeling in front. Beautiful beach. We did learn diving with Rok who is a great teacher. Valentina is very friendly too. We all loved it and would have liked to stay more than 8 nights.
This is the perfect hideaway but with all comfort. We spend a week diving with They are well organize, the guide are knowledgeable and the underwater is incredible.the room are nice and cosy and the food is great. they have their own beach and they have wifi, the only place on kadidiri who is connected.we will be back. thanks to Rok and Valentina
Since the opening of Harmony Bay 1st February 2016 my boyfriend and I discovered Harmony Bay. We felt at home already from the first day, so we go back there every year for several weeks (February 2018, January and March 2019). We use to travel around the Togians and we know a lot of places there, but each time we arrive in Harmony Bay, we are impressed of the friendliness of the owners and the staff, the environmental improvements they are hardly working on (coral plantation, perma-culture, recycling, etc) and the family atmosphere they care for. With no exception, every time we are there, it feels so good, that we are changing our travel plans and always stay longer than expected. The seafront bungalows is where we stay and we can best recommend: well-thought-out architecture with covered terrace, enough windows and a natural roof for a perfect air circulation, spacious room with own bathroom (with shower, sitting toilet and a sink), big double bed with the best mattress, we've experienced on the Togians, with a suitable mosquito net and a safe power supply. Since 2018 even affordable WIFI connection available. The food is very good and diverse: local and european food, lots of vegetables and seasonal fruits, fish from the local fisher and even chicken from the locals in Wakai sometimes. Every afternoon the surprise: fresh cooked local snacks:-) Waking up early in the morning by the amazing sound of the birds coming to the beach or in the back forrest, reading a book on the bench or on the sunbed at white sandy beach in the front or in the hammock, enjoying the sunset, taking a walk through the jungle in the back, snorkeling in the front or to the Barracuda Beach next door, cooking with the staff, gardening together with Valentina, day trips to several spots on the Togians - these are some of the activities how we spent our time there. Valentina and Rok are amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful, not just to their guests but they also care a lot for their employees and invest a lot of time in teaching them english and lots of things about environment protection - no matter of course for Indonesia. We can recommend this peace of heaven to everyone!!! Looking forward to going back there again, hopefully next year:-)…
