We arrived shortly after lunchtime and were greeted so warmly. We parked the motorbike in the large garage and were shown to our room number 7 which was amazing. A large balcony offered views of the Mosel river and vineyards. Inside was very clean and modern with a huge walk in shower. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, along with toiletries. The owners were so friendly and helpful and accommodating, showing us around the hotel and suggesting to draw down the shutters to stop the room getting hot in the afternoon. Additional tea and coffee was available downstairs should you need it for your room. We drove into Cochem about 3km away but it was so busy as a wine festival was on. On our return we were warmly greeted again, there is so much attention to detail it made us not want to leave! The hotel is in a quiet location at the top of the town; the walk to the bottom takes about 10 minutes where there are shops and restaurants near the river. We enjoyed local Riesling wine on the hotel terrace in the evening before heading to our room and wished we had eaten in the hotel as the food being served looked delicious. We enjoyed a quiet and comfortable nights sleep. We were offered freshly cooked eggs at breakfast besides juices, cheese, hams, yoghurt and cereals. A perfect hotel and perfect hosts! We would return and highly recommend.

We stayed here in the middle of May and we're really impressed. It's situated amongst the vines in the small town of Klotten and is very quiet at night. The hotel and double rooms were large, clean and comfortable with a big shower. Everything was provided. Tea/coffee in the rooms and a fridge for cold drinks. We stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the river with a balcony. It was a lovely place to sit and watch the boats go by. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and looked after us very well with both good food and information about the area. Luckily my brother speaks some German which helped. You won't be disappointed if you choose this Hotel.

When we arrived from our previous stay in Luxembourg we were greeted by Mutter - Carolines mother. She was friendly and said she would be one moment whilst she went and got Caroline. We were shown up to our room that looked over the vineyards behind and were impressed with the standard of finish of all areas. We checked what time dinner was and then had a glass of wine on the balcony before setting off in to the town fro a walk. Whilst some people might find a limited menu frustrating, we did not. Their were choices available - all cooked by who I think was Caroline's husband! The food was amazing - so fresh and full of flavours. I selected a fillet of beef that was outstanding and so much of it too! Breakfast next morning was just as good - maybe not up to "Eat As Much As You Want" Premier Inn choices, but hot and cold offers, large selection of breads and cakes, along with fruit, etc. You could also take teas and coffees to top up your room supply without feeling awkward about asking. Very friendly family run hotel that we would return to when staying in the area again.

If you like a Hilton or Marriott, this is not the place for you. But, if you appreciate a good view, cleanliness, outstanding food, lovely wines, and an earnest, charming host, this is the place for you. It had every amenity; the shower was wonderful! But! It's a typical German/Swiss/Austrian/French hotel with no cushy furniture and utilitarian decor, although charming in its way. We loved it!

The setting for this hotel cannot be beat, as it overlooks the Moselle River and backs up to the steep hillside vineyards, and is run by the most caring family/staff. We arrived very late, and they greeted us with sandwiches and warm tea. When my husband showed his appreciation for the delicious evening meal, they brought him seconds! The rooms are small but very functional, and the little balcony outside our room was perfect for morning or afternoon coffee, with a wonderful view of the vineyard. Friendly people, great food, comfortable, but affordable amenities. This place deserves accolades.
