What can I say this place exceeded expectation our room was beautiful masses of wardrobe and draw space lovely bathroom the room was immaculate, staff were so helpful and caring they helped us organise our trips for the week and offered advice on places to go, pool area was fab snacks and drinks by the pool really cheap, plenty of choice in the mornings for breakfast and the evening meals were amazing so much attention to detail all the staff were so polite and we were made to feel really special it was like being in a smart restaurant every night thank you. even better was we were able to eat outside every night, town was literally a stones throw plenty of little bars and places to eat overall an amazing experience so good that we have already booked to come back in June can't wait to return.
A second visit to any location is fraught with disappointment, but not in this case. There was a different outlook, in that this time we went alone instead of with our friends. Our first visit was in the early Spring and this time mid October, both ideal times for visiting this island. At the hotel it was if we hadn't been away, we were welcomed back and as before the entire staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is sighted above the charming village of Santa Cruz, where there are many places to eat, drink or just meander. Last time there wasn't any drawer space to empty you case into, now there is a hanging storage unit that successfully does the job. Again the rooms were airy and well maintained, even though we had moved up to the third floor, we had a more central room and so the views were more restricted. In this visit we used the hotel shuttle more for visits to Funchal and the hotel's pool sunbeds. In short we fully recommend this hotel and its staff.
We returned last week from this lovely hotel In Madeira. I chose this hotel from the brilliant reviews on trip advisor and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The rooms were beautifully furbished and we were upgraded to a junior suite which was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The public areas were had very tasteful decor. The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and any small niggles were very soon put right. The pool area was lovely and there was never a problem getting a sun bed. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety but sometimes the hot food was not replenished frequently and was sometimes cold however scrambled eggs, fried eggs and pancakes were made to order. We had a few poolside snacks at lunch time which were very good but choose to eat out on an evening. We would definitely return to this hotel if visiting Madeira again.
Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a lovely hotel and the staff could not be any more pleasant and helpful. Good location being so close to the airport. Lots of good restaurants very close by.Handy shuttle bus into Funchal Thanks for a great holiday, would definitely visit again.
When i became very ill during my time away the staff were truly outstanding. They supported me and my partner with such geniune care and compassion. I spent a night in hospital but the staff ensured my partner was supported getting to and fro to see me. When i was finally let out the hospital they checked on me and offered all they could. Even allowed us to keep the room without charge until our flight. Just as important though is that it is a great place to stay. A lovely pool, excellent and well kept rooms and a useful shuttle bus into Funchal. It would be my first choice of hotel if i ever returned. I am very grateful that the staff happened to be the best, caring and thoughtful people i have seen at any hotel.
