Very good first impression. Clean, well laid out restaurant, nice atmosphere with diners occupying approx., 80% of capacity. My husband and I arrived without a reservation and although we were given a table, the staff could not make that decision without permission from the "chefin" which meant hanging around for a good 15 minutes.
The menu was inviting an offered a good selection of dishes to suit all tastes.
Staff were friendly but totally inefficient. For example, the waitress placed a saucer with two small glasses in front of me, she said that this was "ein gruss aus der küche" (amuse bouche). As both looked the same, I presumed that one should be given to my husband and did so.
Next came carrot and over-powering ginger soup with a stick of dried-up chicken sate. However, more than an hour passed before our filet steaks arrived. When they did both were well done and not medium as ordered and the orders were mixed up. No one came back to our table... More
