The hotel offers Extraordinary friendly and professional service and beautiful premises at the beach. Two restaurants with above average cuisine. Pleasant guest structure. One star deduction for: - the rooms which are super small (not even space to open luggage) and very noisy (you can hear every sound from you neighbours - talk, snoring, etc). -Also make sure you reserve your favorita sunbed upon arrival. We were not informed that that is possible at all and one day the lifeguard removed our bags from our sunbed while we were at lunch. He threw everything in the sand (very disturbing) claiming the sunbed we chose was reserved for the entire week. The hotel should use Reserved-Signs.
My husband and I spent 5 glorious days at La Villa del Re as part of our honeymoon in Italy. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! It was an absolutely magical stay. The room we had was fantastic - spacious and clean, light and airy. Housekeeping tidied up twice per day which kept it consistently clean. The real magic of this place is its people. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. They are friendly, kind and professional and are an excellent example of five star service. To Sara at reception, Ivan at Le Palme restaurant, Matteo at the Bella Villa restaurant, and the countless other staff members we crossed paths with - thank you for your hard work, dedication and kindness. We had a truly wonderful stay and will absolutely return. I would also be remiss if I did not mention a true joy as part of our stay - the amazing food. Each restaurant has absolutely delicious food. We tried a number of pastas, fish, even a hamburger, and each meal was better than the last. On our last night there was a special dish- pig roasted in the Sardinian manner served with potatoes or veggies. It was delectable- crisp on the outside and incredibly tender inside. Each meal was fantastic- we ate so well during our entire stay. And of course the beach was stunningly beautiful - the clear blue/green water and sandy beach makes you immediately feel as though you’re in the Caribbean. Sardegna is heaven on earth. We’ll cherish the wonderful memories we made here and hope to return soon. If you’re considering this hotel for your visit to Sardegna I would 100% recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!…
Besides being a beautiful resort, what made it special was the staff. The Manager, Rossana, has done a wonderful job in inspiring her team to make each guest’s stay very special and personal. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs. We very much enjoyed our 5-night stay and look forward to returning.
We had such an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff was beyond polite and kind, the beach was great, and the food was wonderful. We did a kayaking excursion on a river and it was so much fun. Our host was super knowledge, and created a whole spread of snacks with wine for us. We also received photos and videos of the excursion. Then, we had an early morning checkout and the staff had prepared us breakfast boxes and made us coffee before our transfer to the airport. I recommend this hotel 10000% and the kayaking as well! We will definitely be back.
My wife and I spent a 7 day vacation at this luxury hotel. This was our fourth vacation in Sardinia, but we had never spent in such luxury before. The level of service really deserves 5 stars! We were positively surprised by the readiness of the staff to help or advise at any time. What distinguished this hotel from others that we visited was the a`la carte breakfasts as well as the courtesy and willingness to help of all the staff: lifeguard on the beach and pool and room service, who cleaned the rooms several times a day and checked whether we were needed something. Especially worthy of mention is the kindness of Agnieszka from Infiniti bar - she was always smiling and ready to help, even on cloudy days. Thank you for a pleasant time spent in this little corner of luxury - greetings and see you soon Beata & Leszek from Poland…
My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa del Re at the beginning of June for 4 days. We had a fabulous time there and we'll come back for sure! Really nice, comfortable rooms, super attentive, watchful and delicate service. During our stay we also did: - the wine tasting organized by the hotel which was really well done and we could taste very fine wines, cheeses and cold cuts - the kayak tour at the Flumendosa river organized by an external guide that works with the hotel (Giorgio). The tour was speechless, the quite landscape with the river that flows into the the sea is fantastic and Giorgio organized a super nice aperitif at the river's mouth! Really recommend it!! - SPA massage - really nice after a long day at the beach and Scuba Diving
Staff was very hospitable and Varkey did a phenomenal job with the room service and ensuring all the guests needs were taken care of. Everybody was very approachable and many of the staff went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of.
Beautiful setting and pool. The staff clearly takes a lot of pride in their contributions and are incredibly accommodating - often overly. After that everything else is negative largely because of the absurd price schemes at the on site restaurants and bar. It’s ridiculous. We walked to a public beach on the second day to regain some sense of normalcy and were very happy with that decision. The rooms are tiny and have paper thin walls. We could hear our neighbors every move. We will not be returning and letting our travel agent know to take this off her list. Five star pricing, but certainly not a dream hotel like it’s made out to be. Do not visit or support this hotel.
Stayed 5 days at this hotel with my partner. We come from Zurich which is one of the most expensive cities in the world and are used to paying premium prices - but then we arrived at this hotel…..for a hotel based on the sea the surcharge for a bowl of pasta and fish was beyond anything we imagined. At every point they charge you with additional costs and premiums. No breakfast buffets so you get mediocre service based on what they want to throw at you. I’ve never seen such insanity. We often stay at four seasons hotels globally and this hotel made the FS group look budget. Shame on you for grifting your guests. The rooms are old and not worth the costs and barely clean. The stuff are kind but on top of you all the time snatching at a plate before you complete your meal. Makes it impossible to eat or have a conversation Restaurant/ beach toilets are dirty and have no locks The restaurant bar has one of the worst food menus I’ve ever seen The charge me 13 euros for one scoop of vanilla ice cream!!! Will not be recommending this place to any one….we feel like we have been robbed…
We were very fortunate that our first stay on Sardinia was at Villa del Re. Everything about it was superlative. The only thing missing was pretentiousness. As other reviews emphasize, the staff here are among the best anywhere we have ever been: each one was genuinely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The grounds and setting are absolutely gorgeous, with expansive manicured gardens and lawns overlooking the sea. Masses of flowers hang from the room balconies, many of which have white gauze curtains that can be drawn when the sun is strong (and it can be). We had the junior suite with sea view, located in a separate cottage with its own hot tub, furnished patio, and pergola with lounge chairs -- we could not have imagined a better room. The pretty sand beach has two rows of loungers to the left and right of the beach house with restrooms, and we never felt crowded. Each pair of beach loungers has a QR code which we used to order drinks from the pool bar on WhatsApp, and usually our beverages arrived within 3 to 4 minutes (no food is served on the beach). The huge unheated pool perched above the ocean looked lovely but we kept to the beach. Cocktails from the beach bar were excellent and always accompanied by ample nibble food. The servers learned our names the first day and greeted us every day of our stay. Food at the restaurants is also excellent and will be reviewed separately. In sum, for outstanding service, one of the most beautiful properties anywhere, and a peaceful vacation in gorgeous Sardinia, you won't find anything better than Villa del Re.…
