Amazing place to take a break, drink a good wine and try a local dishes. Newly renovated, elegant, breathtaking building and souroundings. We didn't have a chance to stay for a night, but we fell under the spell of the place.

Had one night at Ryan Castle Hotel; the building itself is incredible! Very well renovated. The small swimming pool is worth a visit, although for the size of the hotel - it gets full quickly. We stayed the night at the ‘Villa’ building across the road from the Castle; it was rather dated interior and had too much road noise. Wouldn’t recommend it at all. The breakfast buffet across at the Castle in the morning was delicious!!

We went to this hotel recommended by our friend and it was a saddly deception. People in the hotel do not speak english, we were lost in the hotel several times (the indications did not help). The bathroom and room were not clean, the toillet yellow and dirty (very disgusting), also in the swimming pool area the bathroom were terrible maintained and smelly. The hotel is not cheap and we expected that for 140 euros found it in a optimal condition the room and with a good service. We are totally dissappointed, we do not recommend it

Our group of three families with young children/babies do not recommend staying at Zamek Ryn-PAY for parking, horrible dinner in the restaurant, no aircon? hot rooms with only a fan (one rooms fan didn't even work), castle tour cost 10zt and was basically a run down on what features the hotel has-not much on actual history, and there was a severe lack of any customer service This place is like the McDonalds of Castle accommodation, If you're looking for a genuine castle experience-this is not the place!!!

The theming of the castle is pretty good, with actual (and presumably some fake) medieval artefacts all over the walls. The main castle building is impressive and the courtyard (where breakfast and the theme nights take place) gives you a real sense of being in an authentic castle. There doesn't seem to be a way of writing detailed reviews anymore on TripAdvisor, so I'll keep this brief! In short, the areas to improve on are: The staff (all helpful, but really moody looking 99% of the time), no actual complaints with the staff, but they really need to smile more!! The fencing around the tennis court needs to be fixed (its full of holes so a game is impossible) The food is hit and miss, the a la carte in particular was disappointing There is no wifi, other than at reception (yes the hotel will claim there is...but it doesn't work as multiple reviews on this site suggest, they need to fix this or stop claiming they offer it) The pool is too small (but they are building a new one) and a couple of degrees too cold perhaps The pool/bowling opens at 3pm, it would be better if this opened at 12 Whats good: The location is right by the lake / in the centre of town (its a very small town) Our little one loved the 'kids club', she didn't want to miss a session!!! The decor and rooms are nice The theme night was good Overall it was a nice venue, but perhaps missing one central lobby bar with a view, a slightly updated entertainment (games) suite and swimming pool (which is being built).

Zamek Ryn The castle looks very nice from the outside and inside. It gives off a very medieval feeling, which is what you would want if you’re staying at a castle. It’s placed on a small hill in Ryn, with the town surrounding it and the lakes as well. It’s very nicely located. There are not many people there and it’s a very relaxing and quiet place. Great for a break! The rooms and bathrooms are nice except that there is no AC or climate control, making the rooms exceptionally hot. We had slight issues with getting more towels, pillows, and bed covers because they had stains on them/were not up to par with a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was very good. You are offered a European style buffet with salads, cheeses, hams, omlettes, crepes, breads, fish, etc. The dining hall is very big and grande and makes you feel like you’re dining with royalty. They have a spa and pool that are underground in a cavern like tunnel that’s really cool. We also rode around the lake on bikes that you can rent and it was the best part because the scenery was beautiful.

We had three heavy luggage and the receptionist told us, upon arrival, to come to our room 4XX, we had to take the lift to third floor and then take the luggage by hand ONE stair. But it wasn’t correct. The true was (and it’s REALLY TRUE): Lift to the 3rd (!) floor. Then 2 stairs down (4 + 13 steps respectively) and a walk in a long corridor. After that, a stair up (3 steps), a stair down (3 steps), a new and narrow stair up (20 steps) and finally a new stair down (2 steps). Together 6 stairs with 45 steps! To that you can add some additional steps as the signs sometimes were misleading and we took the wrong way. With three heavy luggage and no one to help us. The second day we found another stair to the room with 71 steps. The room was small and hot, without AC but with a fan. The bathroom’s hand wash basin had drainage problem and the water didn’t sink so we had to use the shower for wash the hands. The pool was very nice and relaxing but small. Unfortunately, the house maid had forgotten to give us bathrobes and towels, so we had to go to the pool asking for that. The room had no internet connection but in the restaurant was the connection very good. There we had our breakfast but to reach it from our room, we had to go back (down and up) all the stairs to the reception and from there take a new stair up (25 steps). The breakfast was rich and varied. The conclusion? If you pay a lot of money and get a room as ours, you will probably be very disappointed. So, try to find another hotel in the area. And if you have any disability and problems to go in stairs... Stay away!

I went for one night for my b day . We paid for junior suit room which is more expensive then standard room . Unfortunately room doesn’t have aircondition . We had old fashion fan . Furnitures are dusty . Reception is very poor we had no WiFi available in the room it took 1.5 h to fixed by being one device but no one was bothered to check if it is fixed we had to chase reception two times and there was zero interest . Even I said I would like to speak with manager . Shocking approach . It was my b day and my husband made all effort to order extra things to the room and was spoiled by poor facility and service . I wouldn’t recommend to come here again as for this money we were in much more nicer places around lakes or sea .

It is always nice to find hotel in a castle, especially nice, clean and with many attractions. Ryn castle is exactly such place. Spa was amazing, Staff was nice everywhere. Pool is small, but very nice. Food - excellent with a big choice, especially breakfast. I enjoyed time. Only few small things were not attractive.
