This was our second stay in this town within about 6 month, but this time we decided to choose something in town centre, and what can be more in the centre, than a hotel located in the corner of market square. There's main entrance to the hotel from mentioned market square, but for motorised visitors more important is the entrance from Kazimierza Wielkiego sreet, as this is where their fenced car park is. We had a nice family room, spacious, quiet, no views from the window. Did enjoy our stay. Possibly best choice in town.
Wonderful place, room had stairs up to the bed and was quite quirky. Staff were very friendly and the bar/restaurant was beautiful with low beams, sofas and large tables. The food was also very good as was the breakfast. Not very far from Krakow Airport at all.
We travelled to this area in order to visit the Auschwitz Birkinau Concentration Camps, and were grateful to stay in this small, pretty town of Kety, which is 20 km’s away from Oswiecim, where Auschwitz camp is located. The hotel is lovely, with great service and a wonderful restaurant. The food in the restaurant was definitely the highlight of our one night stay. The room was very basic and had all the amenities one would require for a short overnight stay; the only negative was that the room was dull with not so much as even a picture on the wall. Coming up from the wonderful restaurant we were disappointed to see that so little had been done to decorate the rooms.Still, we had a good night and all the facilities, except air conditioning, were there. We do recommend this hotel for an overnight stay when travelling in this part of Poland.…
We were visiting some of my wife's family in and around Kęty. We had a very pleasant stay at Piwnica. We have two under 2yrs and they had made up very homely cots in the rooms and had a toddler corner in the bar/restaurant. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good, breakfast especially. We particular enjoyed going to the sister hotel 30mins away in the mountains one afternoon, a nice feature. Parking was a little awkward. Lots stairs which might be difficult for some, a result of the historic nature of bits of the building. Would happily stay here again.
...in a very cosy ambience. Very friendly service and fresh cold beer in the historical restaurant of the Hotel Piwnica Rycerska. We were there 3 nights, very clean hotel with big rooms in the small town Kety.
Our room had poor A/C, but included a fan. . We had room 10A and would suggest another. The room was large and a good bath but too warm for the summer season, Other rooms were better. Good breakfast and the staff was helpful and attentive.
Stayed there on my business trip- great cosy and very clean hotel. Outstanding food and good location with secure carpark behind the gates. Prices are bit high in comparison to other hotels in this area, but still cheaper than in Krakow.
