we had a wonderful time at la pourvoirie. the view on the fjord is outstanding. Certainly one of the best place. Food was good and healthy. There were vegetables (we miss vegetables in some other areas). great hiking. I would have spend more time there if I knew while booking.

Had the pleasure of spending this new year eve at La Pourvoirie Cap au Leste amongst a few friends. First thing you notice on you way up to the premises is how deep into nature as you tackle the steep hilly road that finally leads to the reception lodge. As you walk in you can't help but notice the cosy... More

Despite reading the sometimes negative reviews, I decided to book 2 nights at the Pourvoirie in early July. Granted, it is a good thing that we were in July and that we were warned that the dirt path was long (I can see that in Feb with ice on the road it would be more challenging, even dangerous) Our room... Last week, I took my partner on a trip through Quebec to see the Fjords/whales in Tadoussac for our 5 year anniversary. When searching for a hotel in Saguenay (a stop on our drive to Tadoussac), I stumbled upon Cap au Leste online, and based on its location, stunning views, and positive reviews, I decided to book a night. Well,... More

This hotel was arranged by our agent. We where rather stunned by the road to the fjord, driving a hired convertible it was a terrible ride. The room we got was not on the famous rim ( the view is excellent), but a backroom of one of the chalets in the woods made suitable to sleep in. The room was... More

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. A very nice location with a splendid view. The road to get to it is a bit rough, but worth it. The rooms are decorated in a warm local style. The restaurant however, was really disappointing. Staff was disorganized, walking around without much purpose, lacking leadership. Very little choice in menu, basically 2... More

We went to Cap au Leste on the Tuango coupon and loved it. We had great weather which helped of course. The food was good and the snow shoeing a lot of fun. My one bit would be to say 'pay attention to the details'. The reception was rather cold and not very welcoming and the few other minor details.... More

We spend 3 days there over Xmas and had a good time. Rooms are nice although not 'luxurious'. Restaurant is good with an incredible view on the fjord. Outdoord activities are really convenient (skidoo and dog sleds on site). It's not a 5 star resort, it's more for the outdoorsy people (eg:10 minute walk in the freezing cold to access... More

Getting There: If you have ever been to a camp when you were a kid, this place will take you back to those times, for better or for worse. The drive up the Saguenay was nice with good roads; however, we were not prepared for the 7 km of very bad washboard, potholed, rock filled, twisty, up and down access... More

Pros: The location is amazing and we could see the Fjord right from our room. The view of the fjord during sunset was amazing from the balcony. Check in was quick and the room was clean and ready, although there was a bit of stain on the tub. Cons: The drive to the hotel is a challenge as you will... More
