Due to my itinerary, we only had 5 hours of lodging in the hotel as our climb to Mt. Ijen starts at the wee hours of 1am in the morning. But it gave me a good impression arriving after a long drive from west. There was even a swimming pool. This homestay is rather old, and so the room is...

Absolutely terrible homestay with equally terrible staff. The strangest place I have ever stayed and sadly one of only a few options for ijen. The homestay is in a run down old colonial mansion and when I say run down I mean the place hasn't been cleaned for years. The bath in our room had a layer of dirt so...

We stayed here only one night on our way to Ijen. This is a weird place. It is so old and worn that it's even hard to say if it's dirty or just forgot it's good times. It is not that bad for one night. What is amazing, is atmosphere. All the one night tourists on the way somewhere else...

Just like strategically located stays, you take it as it comes. This property belongs to a legacy coffee estate, and has converted a beautiful Dutch colonial mansion into a grubby homestay, with virtually no maintenance. You will only stay here for a few hours as you're likely to be doing the Kawah Ijen walk, and move on to your next...

Hotel and dinner are fairly ok and price is fair as this is a bit remote. I would recommend staying /eating there. Dinner was big and of good quality. Room was clean and quiet with hot water. We booked a driver and a guide to Ijen and price was very high for no real value. Do not book a guide,...

Right...to think of positives... the pool area looks nice and it's quite picturesque. In fact, we ordered the 'set menu' for one (60,000 pp) in the evening and it was plenty of food and really quite (surprisingly) tasty! That is, however, the only choice for food so it was a good job it was nice. The negatives... very basic room...

It was above expectation. we was late to reach the place & luckily the kitchen still operating. warm welcome from the staffs & took the menu, ready to serve us late dinner. Simple & basic dinner, breakfast are provided. The cleanliness of the room & toilet is good enough for a night stay before Ijen trekking. Do not expect much...

Both for Bromo and Kawah Ijen volcano tours there's kind of a maffia from the business industry. All the travel agencies placed around Jogjakarta seem to have an agreement with some awful accommodation, very very basic. They offer tours that include pick up at your hotel in Jogja, transport to the volcanoes (which is cheap and a good option) but...

Good that we were there only one night. The room was very small and unpleasant. The bathroom dirty and disgusted. In the restaurant is only one meal nad it's huge. You cannot order the part of it, for example only a soup. The only advantage was hot water in the shower.

I don't know where to begin, the place is so amazing !! Well if you like to carry your own sheets for your bed for example, this is your place !! Speaking of the room it's very clean, nice decoration, a beautiful blue hanger above the bed, I'll do the same at home :) The bathroom is totaly in the...
