Ross Priory is set beside Loch Lomond, from it's position it commands breathtaking views of the water and the surrounding countryside. We visited on a very wet day so perhaps did not see the the gardens at their best, although they were well set out with some interesting plants and the pathways encouraged the visitor to enjoy all aspects of... Thanks for your review Honey4Tea. Sounds like you managed to enjoy the gardens regardless of the miserable weather - all helps keep it so green, I guess. Hopefully next time you're in the area you'll be back to enjoy the grounds in more favourable conditions. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards Lesley More

Afternoon Tea was fantastic! Our family is lactose-intolerant and the chef was able to (with 24 hour notice) treat us to spectacular sweets and sandwiches that we thoroughly enjoyed! We had a beautiful view of Loch Lomond from the lounge. Had the extra-special opportunity to see a bride descend the front steps of The Priory to her wedding on the... More

Hi Moira L. Really pleased to hear that you had such a comfortable stay, a first of MANY we hope! The breakfast certainly proves very popular and would give you an idea of the quality of what's on offer. The best thing is the setting and views. The gardens and grounds are well kept and great views of the Loch. The building looks very impressive but the rooms and service do not match the expectation and is more 3 star than 4 star. The room we had was fine for a couple of nights but was small and the... Hi Ian S Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to hear that you appreciated the benefits of the wonderful shower (thanks to our new amazing boiler) but sorry to hear the room itself was not entirely to your liking - I'm pretty sure it was Room 10 that you stayed in and that particular room is a firm favourite... My partner came across this place by sheer luck, as we had spend a weekend trying to find somewhere for an overnight stay during our bank holiday trip to Scotland. A hidden gem, amazing setting on the banks of Loch Lomond. An impressive building, which dates back to 1800's used to belong to a family, and now owned by the... More

Stayed just one night and location, rooms, food and the space all around - not just the loch but the extensive gardens - was just fabulous. Very helpful, friendly staff and the most amazing views when the sun shines -which happily it did! Very good food at a reasonable price - they produced us a bar menu from which we... More

Absolutely stunning. Incredible location right on the banks of Loch Lomond. The house itself is beautiful, perched on the shoreline in lovely gardens. We stayed for just one night and wished it could have been longer. An absolute hidden gem. The full Scottish breakfast is excellent in the morning.

Went yesterday for lunch and it was excellent. Had the Scampi and it was delicious as were all of the other meals. Staff very young and friendly nothing a bother. Lovely grounds and what views of Ben Lomond couldn't be in a nicer spot. Daughter was married here so has a special place in our hearts. Will be back soon.
