I can't say enough good things about Wilmar. The home itself is so beautiful, everything is decorated just perfectly. We stayed in the Edinburgh room which had views of the Loch, just gorgeous. Marcella is one of the loveliest people I've ever met. I slipped & fell in the mud while hiking & she was gracious enough to wash my... More

We chose Carbost as our Skye base because of the presence of the Talisker distillery ( a favourite of my husband). Wilmar B and B was a happy discovery. It is a traditional house with exquisite furnishings. There is a lounge for guest use, and the full Scottish breakfast is served in a formal dining room. Ian and Marcella are... More

Fabulous setting, nice home, the most friendly dog i ever met, it's a shame we were there only for two days. Marcella and Ian will make you feel at home. The choices for the breakfast are multiple. And excellent of course. For dinner, i can also recommend the Old Inn just a step away. It's the only option anyway in... More

So popular is this B&B that I had missed the chance of the excellent en-suite room, so we had to use the bathroom down the corridor, but our room was beautiful and light - and the bathroom was beautiful too with bath and shower. Marcella welcomed us in with a cuppa and chocolate snack and her breakfasts were professional -... More

We a family of four enjoyed our stay in a small village Carbost on the loch. The hosts Marcella & Ian were great and made us feel at home. Enjoyed our breakfast which was very well done to our needs. The area around is very beautiful and the place is a good hub to explore the Isle of Skye.

My second visit, and I can totally recommend this b&b. All aspects of the stay were really excellent - rooms, hosts, location are all you could ask for. Only a short walk from the old inn for an evening drink and dinner, which are also recommended.

Marcella & Ian are what made this stay so great. The rooms were comfortable and the food was wonderful. It just felt like home. I am certain I will never have porridge as good as Marcella makes it unless I travel back to Carbost. And get ready to eat because it will fill you until mid-day for sure! HIGHLY recommend... More

The absolute best part of staying here was the warmth and welcome we received from the hosts. They saw to all of our needs and were genuinely invested in trying to give us a wonderful visit to Skye. They were also very helpful in recommending excursions and dining. And who can say no to an intellectually stimulating discussion of British... More

I stayed at Wilmar for 3 nights while traveling in the Scottish islands with friends and it really is a beautiful place. The house is interesting and also beautifully decorated by hosts that obviously take great care in the look and the comfort that their B&B provides. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and lovely bedding. There... More
