Trip advisor needs a new category. Average isn't enough but Very good might be pushing it. Our room was clean, comfortable and of a good size, but it was very close to the road and the cars started going past fairly early. I think our room number was 1 and it was situated on what was the bend (or corner)... More

Chose to go here as they let dogs in the bar, the only pub in Corbridge to do so I believe, which is amazing considering all the good walking places round about. Although the place could do with a makeover we found the staff to be exceptionally pleasant and helpful and the food and coffee we had was excellent. From... More

Visited this bar a couple of times and had a meal in the restaurant on a recent trip to Corbridge. The bar had a good range of drinks available the staff were spot on and it seemed a decent place to be. We did notice the place was quiet but put this down to the time we visited which was... More

Staff at the Wheatsheaf Hotel are friendly, welcoming and efficient. On arrival they were willing to book is in slightly early as we were attending a wedding. Our bedroom was clean, tidy and attractively furnished. The bathroom in the room was modern, uncluttered and stylish; everything you could ask for with an overnight stay. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of food... More

As all previous comments state the basics are there but that's all it is. To be rated a 4* B & B is pushing it. Breakfast only served till 9 am on a Saturday which I think is stuck in a age. Rooms clean and staff friendly however £90 for a double room is way over priced for the accommodation... More

We had a very pleasant two night stay at the Wheatsheaf. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable. The bed and pillows were very comfy and the curtains were dark enough to keep out the early morning light. We had room 3 which had a nice window seat to watch the world go by. There could be some traffic... More

We have just returned from yet another visit to the Wheatsheaf in Corbridge, this time staying for two nights instead of one taking full advantage of a Living Social Deal for the bargain price of £99 all-in. This deal also included a 2 course meal on the first night. We stayed in room three which was above the bar at... More

Stopped here for lunch on our way to the Lake District. Lunch was served in the restaurant proper, and was an average meal, nothing to write home about. Portions were a decent size but not too big. Lovely views. A bit pricey for what it was. Won't be rushing back.
