Jan and Doug Nixon have created a lovely guesthouse, and they clearly take pride in making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The room was beautifully appointed. Chef Doug did a wonderful job with a rich selection for breakfast, and they were both very enthusiastic in guiding us to make a great choice for dinner at the Black Bull. We'd...

Stayed at the BnB whilst attending a wedding reception up the road at Matfen Hall. It was a short walk into Corbridge where we had a drink and a bite to eat in the Black Bull which is a lovely pub. If you mention you are staying at the Peartree then you get a 10% discount off food. Our taxi...

This is a super b&b! It was the first of our places booked as part of a walk along Hadrian's Wall and it didn't disappoint. We arrived wet and bedraggled and were warmly greeted by Jan with fresh milk and mineral water to enjoy with a nice selection of biscuits and somewhere to dry our boots and clothes. We ate...

We had planned to stay in Hexham but, three months in advance, evrything we tried was fully booked. Instead we had a delightful night in Corbridge. We rang beforehand to check on the exact location and this paid off as we then had no trouble finding our way. Slightly out of the town, so that bit quieter, it's also well...

The welcome from Jan was very welcoming and informative and the room well appointed and comfortable. We loved the shower room; lots of hot water after a long walk along the Wall! Breakfast exceeded expectations with a lovely selection of cereals, fresh fruits, home made jams, specials menu and regular menu with all the usual breakfast favourites; the feta and...

My granddaughter and I started our walk along Hadrian's Wall here. Jan and her husband were so helpful, kind and welcoming - our train was late and they met us at the station. The room was spotless and comfortable and the breakfast excellent . There was a 10% discount on supper at the Black Bull too. Highly recomended!!

We were walking the Hadrian's Wall Path and whilst this is not directly on the Trail, it is in Corbridge (Roman Town so worth a visit anyway). A really comfortable, well-appointed guest house. A lovely welcome and a superb breakfast - Jan could not do enough for us. Highly recommended!

We stayed here the first night on our walk along the Hadrian wall path. This B&B is located in a residential area in the village of Corbridge. The village centre is within a convenient walking distance. Very nice establishment and a very helpful staff! We arrived late in the afternoon and the owner volunteered to pick us up at the...
