Lovely friendly pub. The rooms were great, really comfy beds and lovely bedding, we all had a great nights sleep. The pub was busy and noisy but we didn't hear any noise upstairs. Easy to find with a car park round the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They managed to squeeze us in for dinner at the last minute. There were lots of options for breakfast from cereal and toast to full English and lots in between. Would highly recommend

The rooms are above the pub/restaurant rooms and are comfortable. The stairs to the rooms are fairly steep. The landlord was friendly and helpful. There is a fairly large car park at the back of the pub. We were having a meal in a different pub with friends, so we did not sample the evening meal. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The position is just out of town, South of the river Tyne, just off the road to the train station.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were quickly checked in. We parked in the carpark behind the hotel - which had plenty of space. We had booked the Red Kite room and it was lovely, with a large comfortable bed and an ensuite (with a bath, not just a shower, which is always our preference). We didn't eat at the hotel, but instead chose to eat at the Valley Indian Restaurant - about 2 mins walk away. If you plan to do the same we'd recommend booking as we didn't and they only just squeezed us in. We did worry that the Dyvel's Inn would be noisy as it's a pub and was fairly busy when we first arrived. We had a night cap in the bar before bed and chatted with one of the friendly bar staff - joking about a very noisy hen/stag do that had been in both the Inn and in the same restaurant as us. We were wondering what state the hen do would be in if they came back to the pub later. We spoke to the bar staff again in the morning and the hen do had come back into the bar - but we hadn't heard a thing. So given we hadn't heard a raucous hen do, I don't think travels staying at the Dyvel's Inn have anything to worry about regarding noise. Breakfast was served promptly and there were plenty of options available. My husband had a full English and I had avocado and poached egg on toast. The location is perfect if you are planning to visit Hadrian's Wall sites - Corbridge Roman Town, Chesters Fort, Heddon on the Wall, Carrawburgh Temple to Mithras, are all less than 20 mins drive away. The walk into Corbridge town takes about 10mins and the walk is very pleasant, with a lovely view over the bridge. And you've got easy access to the A69 and the Military Road for further sites, or heading back to Newcastle.

The Dyvels Inn is located a short walk from Corbridge main town, and very close to the train station. It is a friendly and easy place to visit. There is ample parking for free, and free wifi. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of choice. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Booked 3 twin rooms at the Hotel 6 months in advance. Offered to leave a deposit but was told didn't need to - pay on arrival. Confirmed all details at the time. Contacted hotel 2 weeks before arrival and was told that there was no booking and no rooms available. We were left high and dry with no accommodation. Staff very rude and defensive and took no responsibilty for their error. Be warned!
