Ideal for a break ! Refreshing, soothing ... In the middle of the tea plantations. We went on an excursion with a specialist in fauna and flora : it was great ! The food is healthy but not very elaborate. We had a nice aperitif by the light of a wood fire !

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location, eco lodge set in wooded surroundings and vast tea plantations. Our room was massive with a lounge area outside space with lots of vegetation, hilly so need to be able to walk to the restaurant where the food is excellent, lovely staff, friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location. Very quiet peaceful place. Neat and clean rooms - would be great if the management also put nets on the windows. Had a lovely tour of the cardamom estate. Normally i dislike plantations - but cardamom requries a lt of shade , so theyve left mmany of the big old trees intact. Had a lovely guide called mark...

Hospitality is terrific at this slightly out of the way, hillside plantation house with its adequate rooms spread around the gardens. Views across the valley from the rocky outcrop in the garden are splendid, if the cloud lifts. You're at least a ten minute drive from the town of Munnar itself, and about ten minutes walk through the fields of...

The hotel, originally designed as a guest house for friends and acquaintances of the owner family, is located away from Munnar and offers above all tranquility and naturalness. Even at the check-in you one will be received like a friend of the family and accompanied in the deliberately simple but large room. First we thought that it will get difficult...

My fiancé and I visited in April 2017. This was our favorite place to stay whilst on our trip around Kerala. The staff go over and above to ensure that your every need is met. The food menu is set but the food is amazing and there are at least four options. They also have a coffee and tea bar...

We were travel agent and our tour director in Delhi that the Windermere Hotel was “the best in Munnar.” We think they both would do well to send someone to Munnar and look around. There are a lot of nice-looking hotels in Munnar. We checked in to the Windermere and were shown a spartan room that smelled of mildew. The...

We stayed two nights here on our Indian cycling tour and enjoyed the comfortable large room, great setting and quality food. The room was clean, large and very comfortable. The restaurant had good, tasty food and the expansive grounds of the estate were enjoyable for relaxing or wandering and exploring. We took an estate walking tour in the evening that...

This small establishment is part of a neighbouring cardamon estate. There are 18 rooms in buildings spread around the complex. The room we had was large and not modern, but was comfortable with a large bathroom and shower, but no view. The dinners were set menus with limited choice, though the quality was good. The weather is warm during the...

We spent two nights at the Windemere in early March. The fist impression on arriving at the Windemere is one of tranquility and a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful vibrant green scenery. We stayed in an estate room which whilst simple was very spacious with bedroom windows giving a lovely aspect of the scenery outdoors. Additionally it had a good...
