My fiance and I picked this lodge to celebrate my birthday on our trip and I absolutely loved it. Firstly, I absolutely love that all of the proceeds from this lodge go back to the Masaai community. They've built a school and a hospital with...More

Never lived such an experience. Beautiful lodges with all conforts made of natural materials such as the ones used by Maasai. We have shared unique moments with the Masai: visit of a school, throwing spears, dance and songs, BBQ with hand to hand meat sharing....More

Travel weary, we set out from JRO, sliding and skidding in the dark, 2 hours to go 20 miles, our first night in Africa. Eight Maasai warriors with torches greeted us. "We've prepared a supper for you." Crystal, candles and a hearty soup in a...More

With your stay at this lodge we can generate income for the social, educational and medical projects of Africa Amini Alama. Funds go to the medical centre, schools and orphanages to support local communities ...More such as the Maasai or Meru. The lodge enables you to meet Maasai in a very open and authentic way as the Maasai itself see the lodge as part of their village to welcome tourists. You can experience the traditional way of life of the local inhabitants with all its cultural and social aspects, feel the strength of african nature, learn about new ways of sustainable development and even support the social, medical and educational projects with your stay. I stayed there as a solo traveler - you should absolutely 100% do it! And yes, they will provide airport transfers. I agree, you should stay for at least 2 days :)

Contact the lodge, they should be able to arrange a transfer. They have their own vehicles... Airport taxis are quite expensive, so avoid the unless you pre-arrange the fare
