Stayed here for one night recently. Our room was basic but was okay for a short stay. The hotel is positioned fairly high up a small road therefore our room had a nice view overlooking the town which is walking distance away. There is a good bar & lounge area to relax & a nice outside lawned area to sit... More

We stayed here 2 nights as part of the tour around Sri Lanka. It is quite close to the train station, less than 10 minutes which was ok after the long train ride. It's not that big a city in general but it is pretty busy in the central area (only). The room was large which I find is the... More

A good hotel in the heart of the town. Rooms are basic but clean. Very functional and ideal for a business trip. Needs more power outlets however. The hotel is like a maze and a challenge to navigate! Will stay there again

Hotel was really odd. Huge entertaining area's that were basically empty. Struggled to get a beer at night which just didn't make sense given the beer garden. Rooms all ok , everything worked well and I slept reasonably soundly on second night, Saturday night crowd was noisy all night and only complaint was the walls were thin. Just a hub... More

I completely enjoyed my 2 night stay at this quaint and charming hotel. Our room was spacious and sparsely furnished with a great view over part of the city. The bathroom was reasonably modern and well appointed, with a shower over the bath. And the water was hot, which was a rare treat whilst travelling around this country. It's obviously... More

Surprisingly good hotel, despite the outer appearance being a bit off putting. We stayed here as part of an Intrepid Travel tour. The lobby was welcoming and spacious and furnished well. Staff friendly. Welcome cup of tea was very welcome indeed, after a long train ride. Long climb up three flights of stairs to our rooms on the third floor... More

I had skipped this hotel on my many visits to #Bandaraeela #Holiday town. This time as all other accomodations were full I took the chance. The #surprise was surprisingly wonderful. The staff from the General Manager downwards were gracious hosts meeting every need with a smile. #Rooms are very clean, good linen, clean and well maintained bathrooms. The #food is... More

We only stayed 1 night on an Exodus tour. It was rated 'standard' but was way better than any other 'standard ' hotel we used. The staff were excellent, perhaps taking their cue from the manager, who greeted us, and said farewell, personally and with real warmth. The food was good, the bar comfortable, and the the 'tranquil garden' up... More

We stayed just the one night on a tour which classed this as a 'standard' hotel but it is better than that! Once you get beyond the entrance and lobby the rooms are comfortable, with reliable temperature hot water, wifi, and then you need to explore the corridors, with hand painted murals, to find your way to the Tranquil Garden. This is... More
