A superb place to base yourself for a golf holiday. A really good 9 hole course followed a beautiful and challenging 18 holes. Everything close by and easy. The rooms are OK for a golf tour but not quite five stars - air conditioning was switched off in September and the shower pressure and temperature not 21st century standard.
Palazzo Arzaga is a very nice hotel with a great golf course. We stayed there for one week and we can surely reccommend the quality of the hotel and its staff. Do not miss the excellent Spa in the hotel.
Just got back from Lake Garda. we stayed at this 15th century converted Monastery. it's in the countryside but has it's own golf course. It's a unique hotel with antique furniture. Director Francesco and all his staff provided the best service and did everything possible to make our stay a good one. Breakfast and dinner in the Courtyard outside. The rooms are a bit dated but the whole ambience is excellent. The Dinner Menu is very eclectic but they accommodated me with alternative excellent meals. We booked through Golfbreaks and we had the half board with golf. I would highly recommend this Hotel for it's quality and service. The golf Course is also a nice Parkland course with views over the hills. Lake Garda is about 15/20 minutes drive away. It may be the time we went but there weren't any kids at the Hotel so that was a bonus for Seniors.…
When I first I arrived at the resort I was amazed by the golf courses, landscape ...etc. When I get into the room, I could not believe that this is a 5-star hotel. The air-conditioning control unit is damaged and does not operate as it should be. So, the first night I called the front desk and I explained to them that it's actually hot. A few mints later one of the staff members knock the door and he tried to change the air-conditioning setting since the control unit is damaged (see picture). After a few tries, the screen shows that the set temperature is 18. So, he said this is coldest, it can't be colder than that. Well, I told him it's damaged and it might not show the actual setting. He jumped into the chair and felt the air by his hand, and said now it's cold!!! Well, we tied to sleep but it was too hot. So, the next night we called again, and they said we'll check from the back. After a few minutes, the unit shows that the temperature was set to 16!!. I believe that the control in the room damaged and shows random numbers. However, it seems that not only the air condition that was not properly maintained but The bathroom also need some work to be done. I have attached some photos below. I still can not believe this could be a 5-star hotel. I did record videos to show who bad is the hotel, and it will be online soon.…
We stayed here with friends for 4 nights and had a lovely time. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Hotel was extremely clean Breakfast had lots of variety, cereal, pastries, omletes, toast, bacon, smoothie and champagne! Food for lunch in the golf bar was lovely, check inside, not just the menu for toastie! Evening dinner was up to 5 courses, not suitable for us and quite expensive. Drinks in the bar were more expensive than the golf bar that closed at 7.30pm. Golf course, driving range and spa at additional cost. Small swimming pool outside x 2 Definately need to hire a car as very rural No hotel shop No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Stunning building that must have lots of history behind it. Explore the grounds they are amazing. Would stay closer to Lake Garda next time but what a stunning place to stay…
Great hotel if you intend to play lots of Golf. The 600 year old converted monastery is majestic. The 3 nines are interesting, the main difficulty being the length. One of the par 3 on blue tee is 241m and for ladies tee, 173m. But the greens were bumpy as few players mend their divots. Restaurants are limited if you are too tired to go elsewhere. Lunch is available in the Golf terrace and dinner in the place where they host breakfast. The breakfast selection is very good. The dinners there are nice, well cooked but expensive. With a limited menu, after eating there twice, it was enough. The rooms with balcony are well maintained but the furnishings are really dark and dated. I don’t see it as five stars. Bathrooms are lovely and spacious. I hated the plugs because it is not EU standard. It is a challenge to find somewhere to charge multiple devices. I honestly believe I can find somewhere else better to stay next time and be less lazy about travelling to Golf. But the Clarins spa was really enjoyable.…
I arrived at the hotel to be greeted by extremely helpful staff. We were quickly checked in , and escorted to a delightful family room. We enjoyed a beautiful dinner on the garden terrace , whilst listening to a great band. The breakfast was to die for , and the golf course and staff were as good as described.
Great golfing hotel, with beautiful grounds and lots to do. We found the Arzaga very welcoming and left feeling really relaxed. Quibbles would be around the price of 'living in' - the cost of drinks and meals was very high
Located ideally next to 2 golf courses and close to others, this is the ideal place for those practising that sport. In addition, there is a nice SPA area and in- and outside swimming pools. The rooms in this elegant old palace are well equiped, calm; the inhouse restauant offers very good typical food and the service staff is friendly and helpful.
Restaurant improved considerably over last year. Stayed 3 nights and all (food) courses were excellent and with different tastes on the plate (as it should be). Hotel is super, huge grounds are beautiful and it firms an enclosed kind of an resort with the course. Outside is nothing so you will need the car to go elsewhere. Not for children. Perhaps Chervo is a better choice if you bring them. Golf is great, no comments but quite long and up/down slopes so playing your imaginary hcp is a challenge. Gardagolf, Chervo and Bogliaco Golf are close.
