Property's Favorite Review
I almost never write reviews but this place is in a league of its own. My 9 year old daughter and I stayed for 5 days/nights and had an incredible experience. The ranch is family owned and operated. The experience was intimate, rich and led us to reconnect with ourselves, each other and the beautiful nature around us. The team is passionate about sharing their way of life with their guests. I felt like I was staying with family instead of at a hotel, even though they had all the amenities of a luxury resort. There was a big fire in the area surrounding the ranch in 2017. The regrowth happening now is a once in a lifetime sight to behold. I'm so glad we were able to see it before it all grows back. The forest looks like artwork with carbon black tree trunks surrounded by a sea of pink/purple flowers, golden grass and young greenery. We also took lessons every day - in archery, horseback riding, even a cooking class! The highlight was a (carbon neutral) helicopter ride into the surrounding canyons and atop ridges where we felt like the only people in the world. This place is a sanctuary.

This was an Incredible experience from start to finish. We went to Siwash for our 20th anniversary and from the start had a stay we will never forget. The fire from two years ago has obviously left its mark...but the intensity of nature and the beauty of the surroundings remains on full display. It is spectacular country that leaves you calm and breathless at the same time. Words do not do the Experience justice. Our diet and drink restrictions were fully accommodated. The food is fantastic! Every meal different...health conscious and delicious. The service team is incomparable...Allison, Jana, Marshall, Cole, Sarah, & Jessica...all brought their special personality & contributions to the resort. All incredibly warm and friendly people focussed on the highest quality experience. There is a closeness to the group that intensifies the feeling we enjoyed. We had a great time with the activities...in particular the horesback riding and archery. I am not an experienced rider but felt prepared, comfortable and safe throughout. The archery was just a lot of fun! The star camp is a must experience...from the wood fired hot tub, to the fire pit, to the beautiful tent accomodation with a view of the stars from your bed...we had not "glamped" before. We will certainly do so again! The experience was so wonderfully intimate...something we will never forget. Allison and her team has created an incomparable resort. The story of Siwash and the reason for its "specialness" and resilience is obvious throughout the stay....its the place and its the people!! A must experience...5 stars is not enough.

Amazing. Starting with the highlight-Star Camp is spectacular. Your own private getaway in an already amazing resort. We had four of us in the two tents. Not your normal tents, these two are a fine hotel room under canvas with a view to the starry skies. From sitting at the campfire, roasting marshmallows and 'smores for all, to the wood fired hot-tub (always wanted one of these at home) all under a vast starry sky, it is all an unbeatable experience. Then when climbing into the wonderful bed, lying back and settling in for the night, a glass roof above your head while you drift off. While lying back, comfortable, to look up at the sky it is truly like floating in space. Incredible. As others have said, every small item has been thought through. Stargazing binoculars to add another dimension of wow to the stars, and when it starts to get light in the morning, before you're ready, a mask to let me linger. The setting of the ranch is like nowhere else, away from all distractions, but with lots to do. I could have spent much more time there. Yes, a fire has passed through, but it is amazing the resilience of the land, how green it is, and how much recovery has already taken place. It is a type of beauty I have never seen before and provided photo ops at every turn. We are not particularly experienced riders so the knowledgeable calm with which the instruction and actual ride was conducted gave us the confidence to focus on enjoying the ride without worry. Wonderful horse selection for each of us. All the activities are excellent, and then you start to anticipate your next meal, knowing it will be something special, because it always was. I could go on and on, but will leave it here knowing I will think back often on the experience and cannot wait to share the adventure with friends and then plan for the next time we visit.

We spent a week on the ranch. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Jana and felt right at home. Emily looked after us so well at meal times and the food is excellent. No meal was the same and all delicious. Catering to your needs you just need to let the chef know before arrival your preferences. The wake up coffee and muffins are missed! The ranch is in a great location and all the staff Ellen, Cole and Jason who do the guiding for various activities know their stuff. Every night you choose what you want to do the next day. Kids loved the bike riding, hiking and river adventures. My husband enjoyed the fishing. The horse programme is different to other ranches we have been to in that you actually get to groom your horse whereas in other upmarket ranch we have been to you barely get to know your horse. One of the highlights was Star camp. Just stunning location with all the luxuries as well as being waited on with drinks or s’mores for the kids we had a lovely evening with Jason entertaining us with his amAzing singing. This is a luxury ranch in a perfect setting, small things have been thought of - suntan lotion and insect spray a plenty if you haven’t brought your own. You don’t need to bring many clothes as they even wash them for you. We had short rain spells but never seemed to be when we were outside. So bring a rain mac and possibly a warm jacket which we used when we went to Star Camp. A fantastic holiday place especially for getting kids to get off their electronics and experience the out doors.
