Walking through queen Vergina's backstreet, we are situated in Barbouta, the Hebraic quarter of Veria. Walking up Olganou street, we come to a small square, where there is the old Hebraic synagogue. There, we can see a bold building dated from the 19th century, the monument known as the 'Kokkino Spiti' (Red House). A manor, which was restored and decorated with lone and attention by its present owners, turned into a traditional hotel with six rooms. It's a luxurious, small hotel in the heart of Veria, next to Orologio square. It is a unique location along the bank of the river Tripotamos, which has a view of the hill Profitis Ilias.

We stayed here just for 1 night as we wanted to visit the royal tombs at Aigai the next day. The young hostesses were very gracious and helpful and the room had antique furniture and mirrors with oriental rugs on the floor. The door architraves and ceiling cornice were lavishly carved in wood.

As we'd just driven down from Thessaloniki, which was noisy with traffic, we really appreciated the relaxing sound of the river below with no traffic noise at all here, so we slept very well.

In the evening we walked down to a bar by the river, which delivered drinks and snacks to customers by zip wire amusingly, and then to a restaurant in town, easily accessible on foot.

Breakfast was down 2 flights of stairs and parking was tight but possible just outside the hotel courtyard, with a card to put on the dashboard from Kokkino Spiti.

All in all a wonderful stay and we would book here again.

This is an historic and architecturally beautiful location that pictures cannot adequately capture.
We were a party of 4 requiring 2 rooms. Each room was cozy and unique with incredible detail. Beds were large and comfortable. WiFi was strong. The TV was large enough to be viewed adequately. Bathrooms were large, functional, and accommodating.
Our hostess, Panagiota, was superb. A professional and caring individual who went out of her way to make our stay remarkable.
We had breakfast here as well as provided via Panagiota. It’s 10 euros per person and includes a nicely varied menu.
The only issue we had is that Google does a horrible job of finding the hotel access. Please call ahead to verify the correct route.
We would definitely return to this location. We cannot say enough about the great service provided by Panagiota or the experience of staying in such a unique accommodation.

We stayed in this charming hotel to visit the tomb of Philip in nearby Vergina and ancient Pella. Rooms are traditionally furnished and some overlook the river. There is an excellent restaurant called 12 which is a short walk away along the river with high quality cuisine. The hotel is in the old Jewish quarter with lots of interesting buildings in the old town. Vera, the proprietor, made a huge personal effort to arrange car hire for us for which we are eternally grateful. A highly recommended place to stay.

We stayed here for one night and very much enjoyed our visit. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice balcony to sit and read or look over the city and river. The breakfast was one of the best, cooked to order breakfasts we have had at a hotel anywhere in the world. We were served a chick pie which was fabulous.

This hotel is set on the banks of the river, which runs through Beroia, a city well known in ancient times and in fact mentioned in the New Testament. Our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable with an excellent shower. You paid extra for breakfast but at 10 Euros each, it was certainly worth it (good and plentiful food eaten in a charming dining room). The staff were helpful and the location good (it's pretty central). Access is a a slight problem - if you are driving you have to negotiate a set of narrow, twisty roads and ours sat nav struggled to access the place. It's next two the old synagogue, which dates from the 1850s and, remarkably, was not burnt by the Nazis. It's certainly worth a visit for all sorts of reasons, not last the excellence and dedication of the guide. This is a good hotel from which to explore the Vergina tombs and other ancient Macedonian sites.

My colleague and I had a wonderful one-week stay at this pretty little hotel. It already started with a pleasant welcome by our charming host Anastasia. Our rooms were a great mix of the remainings and restaurations of this historic building and modern furniture. One of our rooms had a balcony with a great view on the river. Every morning started with a delicious and freshly made breakfast including homemade marmelade, fresh fruit, omelettes and much more. The hotel is located in a quiet area with only a 5 minute walk to get to the city centre. I highly recommend it to everyone who likes historical accomodations with love for detail and design. Whenever returning to Veroia I will definitely choose this beautiful place again.

Wonderful stay. We visited Veria for one day and stayed at this lovely boutique hotel. The reception was warm and helpful. Our room was in the lower level and it was clean and everything fresh. The bed was very comfortable, the room a reasonable size. There were some small steps in the room that can be tricky if you are not aware of them. The neighborhood was quaint and it was nice to wander the pathways. It’s very close to the river and you hear it during the night, very relaxing. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was just ok. Check in was very poor as we were not given any information about the facilities of the hotel or where and when breakfast was served. Our room was fine but needed a couple of touches, a shelf in the bathroom would have been useful as we had to put our personal toiletries on the floor and also the shower cubicle could do with some update on the tiles. We did not see any staff at all during our stay and on check out were not asked if our stay was ok and thank us for staying which would normally be usual customer service. This hotel is fine but not for us and we wouldn’t stay again.

An amazing place, just a 50-minute drive from Thessaloniki. Great location by the river and beautiful rooms in an old building that's been restored with love. We stayed in an excellent suite in the building's attic with a lovely balcony with a view of the river, the upper parts of the town and the surrounding hills.

The owners are very nice people and really helpful. They suggested great places for sightseeing and excursions and top restaurants with the most delicious food. The breakfast they serve at the hotel is out of this world. Everything fresh and delicious, including their own, homemade preserves and cake, and olives and nuts from trees they grow themselves.

The best accommodation experience you'll ever have. Highly recommended, it's really the best option you have in town.

A beautiful old house restored with great respect to the traditional architecture. Located at a very significant historic location of the city only two steps away from the center. Great views on a small river practically below the house. Nice old furnitures, comfortable bed. Breakfast is good with local nuances (traditional sweets and home made jams) in a beautiful room with a big fireplace.
