We have been there in May 2016. We stayed in the Joey Room. The main purpose of this place is being able to interact with wildlife at the door of your cottage. You are provided with a bag of carrots and you can feed wombats, possums, wallabies. Actually only the wallabies are roaming within the park. We feed the other... More

Hi Lionel, You paid $137.65 for 3 adults for 1 night. Joey Room has a kitchenette with an ovenette, microwave, electric frypan, toaster and kettle. The other 3 units have full kitchens, which is described. There are eateries only 2km down the road. If you had trouble with the heater, you should have let us know. The room is well... More

We stayed here with our little tacker (5 months old) and had an awesome time. We stayed mid week for 2 nights and we were the only people staying here we think. We were welcomed by some cookatoos talking to us as soon as we got through the gates and followed one of the owners down to the cottage. The... More

Fauna Australia is a simple but money worth place to be. Instead of paying money at animal parks to watch Australian wildlife, you can just book a room here and view/feed the animals at your own pace and time. They have cottage houses or even rooms for stay when you plan to visit the great ocean road. The 12 Apostles... More

My children loved staying here, they said it was there best holiday ever (our previous holiday had been to the sunshine coast). they loved being able to meet all the animals - there is a huge range of wildlife here. the owners are incredibly friendly and down to earth. our accommodation was perfect for our family of five. we had... This Wildlife Retreat is exactly what its website and other reviewers say it is – an interesting collection of native Australian animals. We got a glimpse of some of them during our 3-week holidays in Australia (e.g., dead wombat by the side of the road, a pair of red eyes flew across the trees at night) but only in here... More

Close to the great ocean road and in the middle of the Otway's, Fauna Australia is absolutely a place to stay for anyone who wants to approach the local wildlife. it's NOT a zoo, and the "farm" is only reserved for those who're sleeping there. Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Birds, Bats, possums, deer, pony, sheep, etc... etc... And without forgetting... More

if you like to see native animals up close, this is the place. We had a short stay in Wombat cottage. Master double bed is really comfy with warm blanket. We come early spring but it was really "winter" cold (for us, coming from the hot country) when we arrived. Kristen was kind to put the heater on before our... More

For a family with young kids, this place was a perfect place to stay and get up close and personal with all our Australia's native animals. 6 months later and we're still talking about it! Best part was wandering the grounds at night, seeing all the nocturnal animals come ALIVE. It was so freaky - but cool! Thanks to our... More

We were travelling around with a group of Volkswagen enthusiasts and stayed for a night at the Fauna Park. You must stay as a guest to get involved with the animals. Accomodation is basic but o.k. The owners are great people. Checking out and feeding all the saved animals was a real treat. It would not be very interesting if... More

Thanks for your personal attitude, understanding and help in every respect (laundry etc). You took a lot of effort and time to teach us new things about the Australian fauna and we could even give a milk bottle to Vilma - the wombat baby. Sehr empfehlenswert um australische Tiere, auch solche, die man nicht oder nur schwer in freier Wildbahn... More
