Staff are above and beyond! Building and room are comfortable! Location is awesome...everything is within walking distance. It was an accommodating experience. I liked the contactless breakfast and they kept everything from being exposed to others by wrapping up the fruits.

We enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Hyatt House. the hotel is clean and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The location is really nice with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We only ate the free brerakfast once but they have it indiviudally wrapped and it felt very clean and safe. My only comment is that not all the front desk staff wore masks which kind of suprised me since we and most of the other customers and staff I saw were masked.

Though I knew this hotel had a good location, my primary concern was cleanliness, sanitization and other COVID 19 measures to protect customers and staff. This hotel and staff did a fantastic job in the common areas as well as the rooms. We felt totally comfortable and safe and enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend the Hyatt House Falls Church, especially if you are concerned about a hotel that is taking the COVID 19 measures seriously.

We have visited this hotel (formerly Hyatt) every year for 6 years now. Our most recent visit (May 2022) was the first visit since it changed hands to Archer and the experience was night and day, we will not be returning.

We booked two studio rooms and specifically requested in the comment section to provide blanket as we're traveling as a family, and will need to use the pull out couch. The blankets were not there upon check-in. No worry, we called the front to request it, a staff member brought us a bed sheet. I kindly asked if I can get a actual blanket or something more substantial for the children, he came back with the equivalent of a thin airplane blanket, he was visibly annoyed and said "Here, are you happy now?". I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior at a hotel, not even at a motel!

On to the free breakfast- In the past years, Hyatt offers free, amazing hot breakfast buffet including a made to order omelette station, gourmet muffins, great coffee, it is situated in an open and clean restaurant space. This is the main reason we pay a premium to stay here, we love it, the kids love it. During our visit, we were told the restaurant is under renovation and breakfast is closed. Disappointed but sure, we understand. The real issue, is that the front desk clerk assured me that the "breakfast- to go" boxes they provide as an alternative were made "fresh daily by our staff in the kitchen" implying least continental level or above. No, the boxes included an apple, a small Chobani yogurt cup, and a Kashi bar. Each person is allowed one box. The coffee at the coffee station is lukewarm at best, and tastes like coffee flavored water. We didn't appreciate being mislead and was extremely disappointed.

This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, we paid a lot more for a lot less. The main reason for the one star is the front desk's lying by omission and the attitude of the staff member. This place is horribly managed and I'm disappointed to say we will not be returning to Archer hotel for our annual trip to VA.

We are disappointed to hear of your recent experience. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your stay as I don't recall any mention of these issues at check out recently. We currently offer a complimentary breakfast to go box while we complete the renovation to Archer's Kitchen and Bar. All of our linens are brand new, and a significant upgrade from the Hyatt linen. Again we apologize you were not completely satisfied. Please feel free to call me directly at 703-992-8803 or at ed.farnell@archerhotel.com Sincerely, Ed Farnell

Having stayed here over 100 nights since the opening as Hyatt Hotel about 9 years ago, the hotel has new management as per 15 dec 2021. Back in November, I brought over 35 nights of colleagues to the hotel. My expectations about the service were high: it turned out to be a big disappointment.

At this moment, the hotel is under renovation. I am sure its gona be nice. But: there is no breakfast room, no bar, nothing to eat and almost no lobby.I n the corner, what they call business centre, is very limited space and enormous back ground noice because of the renovation. You can not work from there. When asking for better options, they do not care about that. There are no other places to work and I could not stay until 2.00pm in my room. All I could do is leave the place.

In the rooms, there is no daily service anymore: making up the bed, replacing towels, cleaning the toilet, vacuum-clean the floor : all these services has been skipped, only if you explicitly ask.

New ownership does not lead to better service. Maybe the focus is on cheap tourist visiting the lively area with great restaurants and entertainment but the focus is completely off the business traveller that have different standards.

OK, the positive points: the beds are (still) fantastic and there is an Nespresso machine with cups in the room.

Hello, Richardh We are disappointed to read about your recent experience. I wish your concerns had been brought to our attention before checkout and we could have gladly clarified any confusion. Our bar and restaurant are currently closed as we work to create Archer's Kitchen + Bar. In the meantime we are offering a complimentary grab and go breakfast and are able to provide delivery options from many of the numerous restaurants within a few steps of our hotel. Our business center has not yet received any upgrades from our days as a Hyatt, however this Spring we look forward to transforming the business center to Archer's Library which will provide enhanced facilities to better suit our business travelers. In regards to housekeeping, as we return to normalcy post pandemic, we have learned that many of our guests are still not comfortable receiving daily housekeeping service. However we are more than happy to provide full housekeeping service to any guest who requests it. I apologize if this was not communicated properly at check in. Again we apologize for your experience. In the future please reach out to me directly (ed.farnell@archerhotel.com) and I will be glad to do whatever possible to ensure a more satisfactory experience. Kind regards, Ed General Manager

Great location. Front desk staff very helpful and responsive. Breakfast is below average. All products are individually wrapped for covid protocols, also making grab and go easy. Selection was mostly low quality sweets. Muffins, donuts, danishes, cereal, frozen breakfast sandwiches warmed. Oatmeal was pre packaged without the ability to cook unless you brought back to your room, which is strange because communal tables were open and many people congregated to eat breakfast. Guests placed trash in the hallway due to limited housekeeping services. Trash would sit in the hallway for 24 hours in some cases. Really unhygienic. Housekeeping was hard to track down if additional items were requested. I called the front desk, the items were never delivered. Parking is easy and plentiful. The cost of the hotel is mostly due to location, not for the property. And update/refresh is needed rooms are dark and dated. Room cleanliness questionable.

We were visiting our children/grandchildren in the area and found the Hyatt House to be our best stay yet. It was very quiet, everyone wore masks, housekeeping was available, without coming into our room, with providing whatever we needed. The Mosaic District is also a lovely place to walk around. Le Pain Quotidien is outside the front lobby. Pretty perfect in our view.

The Mosaic District location was worth a few extra $ as you don't need a car if you are staying here. Premium retail stores plus basic necessities all within TRUE walking distance - great restaurants, coffee shops, open spaces and movie theater all right here. Free parking, too!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hyatt House for about 5 weeks for medical reasons. The entire staff were caring, compassionate and attentive to our needs. Nothing was too much to ask. Housekeeping was coordinated around our schedule, and any requests were promptly met. Staff took extra care to make sure everything in communal areas were cleaned on a regular basis. The hotel is in a great location. We were close to the hospital, restaurants, doggy day care, and much more. We’re headed back to the area in the spring and will definitely be staying here again!

I stayed at the Hyatt house with my daughter for about 6 weeks. This hotel is great, The neighborhood is incredible, safe, family and pets friendly. It was at the center of it all, making it very convenient to find groceries, restaurants and variety of entertainment. Parking was also free.

Our room was king studio suite. It was clean and stylish. the kitchen was fully equipped with large fridge, dishwasher, and cooktop very convenient for extended stays. The free breakfast was definitely a plus. Even though it was offered as grab and go due to pandemics, it was really handy in the morning with variety of choices catering for different dietary needs.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Marina, the director of sales, was very welcoming, and professional. she answered all our questions immediately and was very accommodating to our special requests. Vickie and Mario were the best - very helpful and proactive towards all our needs. The housekeeping staff was great. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Virginia if we ever go back. I would definitely recommend this place.
