Lovely lady showed us to our room which was big with four poster bed and was very comfy and had a good nights sleep . Partner had scampi and chips which was gorgeous. Breakfast was good only problem was bowls were dirty looked like a dog had licked them , but soon rectified.

It's not the first visit, but the first for a Sunday lunch with 92 year old mum, two brothers, son and daughter-in-law and baby grandson Max. As always, a wonderful welcome from Charlie. A proper pub with gorgeous food. Great selection from the menu + Specials board. Served piping hot and beautifully presented. Thank you again.

We were staying in a B & B close by when noticed this pub decided to go for a walk and a pint end up staying for dinner and will return tomorrow! Very friendly place, nice people and the food was great! Has good prices on " the day's menu" and the plates are not small!

I am rating this as Pub and a place too eat although I have friends who have stayed here and loved it and I have recommended to others. I would term this as my local. we always pop in probably once a month for something to eat and a socialize with friends. Charlie the owner is the perfect raconteur and... More

I read some of the reviews but decided to book anyway! To summarise: lovely village, great pub, good food (had both dinner and breakfast), attentive and helpful staff, lovely clean big room and ensuite. Thoroughly recommended.

Our room was large, and airy, because one pane of glass was broken and had a carrier bag taped over it. That sums up the attention to detail of the owners I guess. The noise of what was probably an extractor fan rumbled on all through the night. It was like trying to sleep with a tumble drier in the... More

Room lovely, food amazing, location beautiful and very welcoming to dogs! Sadly we did find that most of the staff (bar one who was very lovely when showing us to our room) were not very accommodating, didn't ask any questions and seemed unable to chat which can often be such a nice trait whilst staying in a b&b. We felt... More

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this pub where the food was fabulous and the staff were very friendly. There was a great choice of first course, mains and puddings. We will be going back again soon.

We've been here for only one night. The location of this Inn is very good. The food was fine. We had a few smaler remarks though. The carpet in the rooms (and the hallway) was not really clean. (It's old, and not easy to clean, but we expected it cleaner). And also in the bar there were seatings that weren't... More

My family arranged a birthday Sunday lunch in the new "private" dining room to celebrate my 70th. There were altogether 34 of us,(family and friends),What a great atmosphere, food, service. The praises were at the time boundless and are still flowing in to me. Thanks in no small part to the owners Charlie and Boo-- they have a light touch... More
