We caught up with friends for dinner here on Saturday night and the menu was small but everyone found something that they liked. The service and beer was great and was great value for money. Fantastic atmosphere and typical English hospitality. If you are in these neck of the woods drop in for a beer or 2,

We stayed at The Neeld Arms for one night recently and received a warm welcome. We had a main meal and a drink before we (the dog stayed free for the night) retreated to the lovely four poster bed they had given us. The bed was cosy and clean and the bathroom was clean although I need notice the lino...

We stayed in this charming old Inn for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. After ascending a couple of narrow stairways, we reached our large top room with exposed beams and plenty of space and light. Our breakfasts were great and cooked on order each morning - they were included in the price of our room which made...

Had Sunday lunch here while passing through. Great pint of Wadworth's 6X, the Sunday roast is one choice only and, apparently, is nearly always beef - it was fantastic so sticking to what they're good at. It was served with a local horseradish cream that they happily sold to us and told us where to get more....and we did! The...

Popped in for quiz night; didn't win but had fun. Food was very good with blackboard full of meals we liked; a 3 real ales - I tried the 'Habit' ale. Think quiz is first Thursday each month except over summer. Pop in as we did.

An attractive typical country pub in the middle of the village. There are tables outside, and the inside has the bar in the centre with comfortable seating around it. The menu offered a fine choice of food, and it seems that the landlord had got the balance right between 'Traditional Pub' and 'Fine Country Dining'. We breezed in there with...

Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip, staff/landlord very friendly! Monday night was curry night and brought in a good atmosphere, Tuesday night was pie and pint night, equally as busy! Had to wait a little longer for food these two evenings however the option was there to sit by the fire with a drink whilst we did! Couldn't...

We were here for a relatives last moments in Chippenham. The pub gave us a place to escape, the friendly banter and locals in the bar along with the different spaces to sit provided background company without being overbearing. It helped us to be thoughtful without falling into the depths. The food was excellent and local, the eggs supreme! The...
