We had warm welcome from Tony, who was a friendly and helpful host. The breakfast was delicious with freshly cooked rhubarb. Following Tony's advice we had a lovely evening meal at the Copthorne Hotel in Omapere and visited the Koutu boulders on the nearby beach. We would strongly recommend walking along the beach through the boulders, some of which are...

Tony was a great host with heaps of interesting stories to regale. He is knowledgeable about the region. We were upgraded to the king size room when the other guest did not turn up and the continental breakfast was excellent!

Our first experience of a B&B in New Zealand (and we are kiwis!) which we found very good. Friendly, knowledgeable host Tony even took us for a drive around the local area to see some of the views of the harbour. Very comfortable bedroom with views.

Kouto lodge was a very quiet and nice place to stay. Tony was very hospitabel and it was an excellent opportunity to learn about New-Zealand, their people and how they live. Rooms are nice, with good view on the bay. The rooms are not large but there is also a sitting room with tv available and an excellent wifi connection....
