We had a lovely stay at Solimar turquoise! It’s a very quiet hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Cleaning was ok. I would recommend the hotel to invest a squeegee for every room. Because it’s not nice to get wet feet every time you have to use the toilet. Besides that we thought the shower and showercounter was a nice and inventive way to decorate a room. We were glad that breakfast was served (between 7.30-10.45) that was nice. The food was ok. Some of it was delicious and some of it was unfortunately tasteless. There was too many waiters working at the same time at the hotel-restaurant. It gave a greedy impression since they are sometimes following you while you fill your plate. One time me and my boyfriend decided to count how many times the waiter passed our table, and, well, 16 times.. Hold your plate because if you leave the table for just a minute they will take it away Immediately. The waiters doesn’t seem to know simple basic serving codes. There’s some hotel rooms by the beach and the rest of the hotel is on the other side of the road. There’s also a small pool and a beachbar where you can enjoy really nice drinks. The beach area is wonderful! Not too crowded. You pay 5€ for two sunbeds in the forenoon, if you come later in the day no one will charge you.

The staff are very very friendly and do go above and beyond to help, including making calls for you, giving tour advice etc. The beach bartenders are quite rude and seem pissed off when you ask for a drink as part of the all-inclusive option. The sun loungers are provided for a fee, but are easy to secure and do not need to be reserved in advance. The sea has a better/safer entry down the way, away from the resort (where I spent a couple of days) however it is indeed accessible from Solimar. Please note that Solimar is NOT adults only. I saw plenty of children, including infants during my stay. I never ate onsite (I don't do buffets), so despite having the all-inclusive option, I could not tell you about the food. However, restaurants nearby were award-winning, in my opinion and from what I have heard, a better option. The suite I had was clean and very open. The sea view was spectacular. Nearby shopping provided everything needed and the bars down the road hosted great partying for a 30-something.

This is a 4 stars hotel, but I don't think it worth this rating. My room was quite clean, but during the first 3 days it smelled cigarrets(maybe the cleaning lady smokes a lot) and in the first day we had no hot water. We had a bottle of water in the first day, but then we had to buy all the water we needed. During my firt bath I almost flooded the room because the bathroom is in the same level as the rest of the room. After this situation we had to take fast showers. Also we had to complain about the AC that didn't work. I don't know if they want to save water, because we barely could wash our hands in the sink, the water flow was super weak. The restaurant is super clean, but the food is boring and you don't have so much options. Also they offer just cheap soft drinks, wine, beer and instant coffee. Coffe only during the breakfast, the machine is off for lunch and dinner. There is no free wifi in the rooms, you have to pay 20 euros for a week. They say there is snacks at the pool bar, but I never saw them. They sell sandwiches and some drinks too. The drinks included in the package are all those cheap chemical ones. The caipirinha has a radioactive green color and has a awful taste. The only ok drinks are the Pinnacolada and Tequila Sunrise. By the beach you have chairs and umbrellas, but they charge you 5 euros to use them. The free ones, by the pool, are all the time reserved and the staff doesn't care about this practice. A good thing is that all the staff is super polite and helpful.

Just got back from staying here for a week. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and felt welcomed from the beginning by the friendly and hard working staff. Our room was really nice with excellent facilities and the food and drink options for all inclusive were brilliant. One of the highlights of our holiday was at the hotel where on our first night there was an amazing saxophone player who performed around the pool on the evening. We’d like to thank all the amazing staff for helping us to have a really good holiday, you’re all doing a great job and it was definitely appreciated by us.
