The hotel is very simple and the room decor quite weird. Advantages - clean and rather spacious rooms, friendly staff (apart from the girl in the breakfast area). Disadvantages- breakfast is simply terrible (even for Greek 3*) - everyday the same few things, bad smell from the pipes in the bathroom, bad WiFi. In general, we rented a car and went around the island so we spent maybe 3 hours a day there.
The Hotel was perfect. Staff was pleasant and nice. The room was cleaning every day by chambermaid. The hotel is really close to the shop (2 minutes) and sea/beach (5 minutes) and a lot of restaurant. Everywhere (hotel part) is wi-fi. Small disadvantages were a few little ants in kitchen and (for me) smaller sun protect for breakfast food and A/C is for surcharge. But the breakfast was good (every day you can choose from: jam, eggs, ham, cheese, compote, Greece yogurt, cereals, cake and juice and coffee). Advantages for me is position of hotel and pool because for all day is one part with shadow and other part with sun.
Qualities: very clean room, fully equipped kitchenet (except cork-screw for wine bottles!;)), small hotel - just few people next to swimming pool, close to sea (~300 m), very close to few good restaurants (Nostos, Meraki). Weaknesses: breakfast is the same every day and really poor choice. Airconditioner costs additionally 50eur per week.
Good location, near to beach. Very friendly workers. Its clean and not noisy around. The minuses would be breakfast are always the same, and choice is really poor. And we had the room, where WiFi wasn't working
We had a very nice stay at the Mastorakis Village. Good location near the town and the beach. 2 shops within 100 meters and many good restaurants close by. Very nice and clean. Overall well worth a visit.
A few months ago in summer I took a walk around Agia Marina and visited Mastorakis Village only for maybe half an hour, and it seemed that nothing had changed since I spent two weeks there three summers ago. I stayed there with my wife and two ten year old boys. The hotel is basic but somehow very relaxing and for us at the time very therapeutic, some days it felt like a private villa as there were no other guests around. The room we had was a one bedroom apartment on the second floor which was very quiet and we were not disturbed by any noise and it was cleaned daily. There is a bar at the hotel which never got too loud because the hotel is only small. Every apartment overlooks the pool which is nice but only small and is also cold due to the fact that it doesn't get much sun. The location of the hotel is perfect, tucked away a few metres down a quiet passage where you could believe you are off the beaten track but it is near all the best restaurants and tavernas in Agia Marina, some are on the little street beside the hotel and a couple of others are a few minutes walk away into the back of the resort. I have got to say that that some of the tavernas that I visited were the best I have known in the Greek islands. The beach is also two minutes walk away. The two weeks I spent here really relaxed me.…
