I stayed at folia apartments with my girlfriend, while traveling around the island on day trips by car. The two brothers running the hotel where very friendly and helpful in helping us with all the practicalities around the trips. Our room had a very nice sea view from the balcony and a small tea kitchen where we cooked some of our meals. The pool area was very nice. The brothers were very service minded and helpful while being appropriately discrete and letting us have some privacy. The hotel had a good location with walking distance to supermarkets, public transportation, the beach and local restaurants. And more importantly it is around an hour drive away from Samaria Gorge, Elafonisi Beach and Balos Lagoon.

Just returned from 2 wks spent at these great apartments lovely and quiet spot only 5 mins to the beach, rooms were absolutely spotless beds are extremely comfortable ,bathroom compact but with a great shower always plenty of hot water. Towels and bed linen changed frequently which was a bit unexpected given these strange times but was most welcome. Lovely views from the room over to the sea and beyond , the pool area was laid out with sunbeds and tables plenty of room to stretch out and again very clean and tidy . The whole hotel and garden areas are immaculately kept so welcoming. Hosts brothers Ioannis and Nikos are a really smashing pair of lads couldnt do enough for you absolute pleasure to meet them and the hotel is a source of great pride to them will most certainly be returning next year.

My son and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at this fabulous hotel. The apartment was immaculate with the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, the aircon kept the room refreshingly cool, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning with a coffee and again on an evening with a glass of wine or a beer.
Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. The pool area and bar is immaculate and so relaxing, the staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly, it's no wonder this place gets such fabulous reviews!
The beach is a 5 minute walk away and there's plenty of choice for sunbeds with restaurants and bars right beside.
There's a supermarket 2 minutes from the hotel, towards the beach you can find an array of supermarkets, bars, shops, cafe's and restaurants, If you want something very traditional if you come out of the hotel and turn left a 5-10 minute walk will bring you to the old town where you can find a square of very traditional restaurants.
If you want to visit Chania town then it couldn't be easier, as you leave the apartment walk down towards the main road turn right and the bus stop is just there (opposite the Alexandra Hotel). It was 1 euro 60 cents each way and takes around 20 mins. The harbour is beautiful and surrounded by fabulous restaurants and bars, with lots of shops and eateries, everything stays open until very late, there's a real buzz about the place, certainly worth a visit.
We will definitely return to Folia! Thank you so much for a perfect holiday.

Our stay at Folia Apartments was amazing from start to finish. The room was one of the nicest I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful views, a nice amount of space and good amenities, really comfortable bed, and the air con made a huge difference. The room was also super clean and had a beautiful atmosphere and decoration, every inch was spotless and cleaned daily, with sheets changed every other day which was absolutely lovely. We chose to stay for breakfast and would definitely recommend! So yummy and so much choice, a really good way to start the day. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming and attentive which definitely makes an impact. The flowers and plants were lovely and well-kept, and the pool area was lovely and clean too, with plenty of sun. The location was brilliant, only a couple minutes walks to so many good restaurants, supermarkets and the bus stop, which was always on time and only 1.60€ to Chania per person. Thank you so much to all the staff for our lovely stay, we would definitely return in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone considering booking!

We enjoyed an absolutely perfect one week stay at Folia Apartments and Hotel in Crete! I can not express how wonderful everything was and would not hesitate for a second to recommend Folia, highly to everyone. The hotel is incredible and sparkling clean! Walls are all beautifully white and perfectly square! Pool is clear, clean and inviting! Breakfast is delicious and offers lots of choices. They will accommodate everyone's diet and gladly. Beds are comfortable! Rooms are extremely clean and cleaned every day! Bathroom is fantastic with the best water pressure and instantaneous hot/cold water I've experienced. It was such a joy to come home and use the shower. A/C worked perfectly. Hotel is quiet. Parking is on premises and easy. Every detail is so well-thought-out! The best thing about Folia is the warmth and kindness. Every gesture is made with authenticity and a real feeling the joy of hospitality brings to only the best hotels! The location of this hotel is beautifully situated so that a visitor can see many areas of the Western part of the Island as we did. Every day we experienced different day trips and never drove more than 90 minutes. For the adventurous traveler it offers a quiet area and great access to roads. You're minutes outside of Chania and Akrotiri and the area offers city life, beaches, gorges, shopping, hikes - whatever you wish. I am so happy to have found this hotel! I will certainly be back and look forward to my next stay. It's a great place and I wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend it highly to everyone.

We're so glad we chose to stay at Folia Apartments. There was such a warmth about the place and a great level of professionalism. The brothers who own the hotel and other staff members always had a friendly greeting for us and went above and beyond to help with luggage and booking taxis and even retrieving my beach towel after it fell onto another guest balcony! They also had great local knowledge and advice about activities and getting around the island.
Our studio room was bright and airy with great views out of the windows and off the balcony. It was kept spotlessly clean by the lovely cleaning ladies and we liked having a small kitchenette and living area to relax in. Communal areas like the pool and breakfast areas never felt busy or crowded and were very well maintained. The breakfast options were varied and tasty and the cocktail options at the pool bar were great too!
The hotel is about a five minute walk to the shops and ten minute walk to the beach, so you're close enough to the action but far away enough for peace and quiet. It's well connected too if you want to explore more of Chania. You can easily take a taxi or bus to Chania Harbour for the day/evening if you fancy somewhere a bit more bustling or want to catch the sunset views by the lighthouse. Otherwise there's plenty of fun things like water sports, shopping and amazing restaurants walkable distance from the hotel.
There's a steep(ish) hill to walk up to get to the hotel entrance which we didn't find to be an issue but just something to bear in mind. We feel like we got very lucky finding this hidden gem of a place and would recommend it to anyone, couples or families alike.

Me and my partner Stayed at Folia for our two weeks holiday and loved every minute of it, The rooms are cleaned daily and the location is great only a 10 minute walk to all the local restaurants and shops. The rooms are very nice and the brothers are very helpful and friendly. This is now our 3rd visit to Greece in recent years and will definitely be back In the future. Jack.

Giannis and the staff at Folia we’re brilliant throughout our weeklong stay. Nothing was ever too much for them and they did everything possible to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as it could be.
The hotel room was incredibly clean and spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The swimming pool was very well maintained and was always very clean.
The pool bar was very reasonably priced and offers drinks throughout the day as well as during the evening, with tables around the pool to sit at whilst you drink.
The hotel is situated just a short walk from a variety of restaurants and shops as well as a beautiful beach with sun beds and bars. The trip to Chania town is around 25 minutes on a bus making it extremely easy to get to.
I would 100% recommended Giannis and Folia and will be returning soon for another holiday.

We loved our stay at Folia - we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The owners are always on hand for a chat & to recommend places to visit & all the staff were lovely. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment that had a bathroom, kitchenette and seating area with two single beds, then a double bedroom upstairs, so enough space for our family - a couple with 2 teenagers. The rooms are traditional rather than modern but very clean and comfy beds. The pool area is lovely, never had any issues getting sun loungers and the whole atmosphere is very peaceful & relaxing. The pool bar does great cocktails & we ate lunch there several times. Breakfast is €9 which we tried once & was very nice, great selection. The hotel is in a really good location, just a short walk down to the beach & main road where you’ll find lots of great restaurants. Chania old town is €17 in a cab & well worth a visit. We hired a car from Duke car rental - they were very helpful & reasonably priced with no hidden extras. We would definitely return to Agia Marina & would definitely stay at Folia again, we had such a great holiday!

Once again we had a fantastic stay at Folia. The family and staff were all possibly even more friendly and happy to see us than usual. The rooms are still cleaned frequently and to a very high standard, the breakfast extremely tasty with a great mixture of choices and the pool and bar area perfect for relaxing and cooling off with other guests from around the world.
