This place is amazing! We stayed during the "low" season so there weren't a lot of people around, the weather was lovely (just one rainy day) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was so friendly and kind and always used our names. The food was incredible, we ate at the Hacienda Kitchen a lot and every dish was so wonderful. We are vacation club owners so our rooms were in the new section which were stylish and lovely. The complaints and low ratings about waiting for meals is just ridiculous, I would never rate them low for this as every dish we ate was amazing. A short walk to the Marina area was a nice option and the Italian Steakhouse served delicious food. Would definitely come back again!
Great adventurous weeks travelling around Costa Rica, our time at this resort was fantastic where we saw a Tucan and McCaws, It was my first time in Costa Rica and this resort. Costa Ricans care about their environment. Overall a great vacation! Several tour operators would pick you up right in front of the hotel, Piko Travel for taking care of my tours, transportation, and providing wise council and friendship to this first timer. Small family bussines operator, go to the piko travel website, Our favorite was the monkey experience. Thank Marriott and Pikotravel both very professional and highly recommend.
Doubtless it is a great hotel, however it is also one the most expensives hotel in the area. The services is good but only if you request for a good service, it is not natural in the hotel crew, especially if you are not for specific nationallity.
Los Suenos Marriott is worth every penny! The resort itself is so beautiful, perfectly cleaned and maintained. The pools exceeded our expectations - perfect temperature, incredibly clean. The interior design and furniture are so fun and luxurious. The food in the resort is lovely. The resort Cafe has the absolute BEST empanadas I have had in my life! You have to try the chicken empanada at the Cafe. For more culture and variety I definitely recommend exploring outside the resort if you can too (resort is just a short drive from downtown Jaco, so many great food spots there). The resort (and Costa Rica as a whole) is very eco-friendly. Recycling bins can be found all throughout the resort. Rooms include a hairdryer (Hamilton Beach brand), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, body lotion, fully stocked kitchen, umbrella, iron / ironing board, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent. The staff are what make this resort so special. Everyone is so genuinely nice. They truly all go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of.…
We had an excellent time during our stay. Had the upper suite overlooking the amazing expansive pool. Super friendly staff. Gave us many suggestions for local restaurants. Very kid friendly. Beach is not the typical white sand beach but still nice. Lots of activity for all age groups.
The room was great! We paid for an upgraded room with a hammock and two balconies, and it was WONDERFUL. The service is just okay - a little slow at the restaurants and took a long time to check in. The pool didn't have a hot tub! We were disappointed by that. But the swim-up bar was nice and inflatables were cool. Walkable to the beach and gorgeous views.
It took a long time to check in. They upgraded us for a nicer room. I think that meant that we got a porch. The room was nice. There was a hammock. Nice vibe. All the restaurants were not open so we had about 4 to choose from. The food was good and there were some local choices. The beach was dark sand and difficult to walk on. Most people swam in the pool, which had a really nice lazy river kind of thing going. I loved the donut inflatables. I saw very few people venture out into the beach bay. The first day I arrived the bay waves looked like chocolate milk, but the staff said it was safe to swim in. We were told to order a cab from the transportation guy next to the front desk. He suggested 4 hours ahead of our flight time. We were skeptical, but he insisted. It cost $130. The private van he ordered never arrived. After 25 minutes we asked him what was going on. He ended up ordering a cab from town. The four of us squished into the cab 15 minutes later. I asked the cab how much she charges for the ride usually (knowing the hotel would pay this time) and she said $110. I feel like they should have reimbursed us (you now they would have charged us if it had been more!) It made the last day of our vacation stressful because there were back ups on the road to the airport.…
We had an adventurous 3 weeks travelling around Costa Rica and in the middle we opted for 3 days of luxury and relaxation at Los Suenos and we were not disappointed. It’s a delightful property. We are lucky enough to be Lifetime Platinum so got a room upgrade and free breakfast (there is no lounge. With that in mind here are the reasons why we enjoyed our stay:- Excellent friendly staff Very good facilities Lovely relaxing pool area – we really enjoyed swimming from pool to pool under the bridges Really appreciated the complementary activities on offer especially the guided tour around the extensive grounds on a golf buggy spotting animals and the excellent yoga class Big quiet rooms with very comfortable beds and bedlinen (we even had a hammock in our room!). Effective quiet aircon and superb tv Really enjoyed breakfast in the Hacienda Restaurant. Excellent selection to suit everyone. We ate there one evening too. We had a table by the pool and ate ceviche and seared tuna. It was the best meal we had in Costa Rica and it was very reasonably priced I would only have 2 minor criticisms There was not enough staff on duty at reception at peak times I didn’t enjoy the DJ’s techno music pumping out around the pool. Sometimes they played more laid back music from a playlist which I felt would suit the type of guests at the hotel much better…
There were seven of us family members staying at Los Suenos Marriott. The three rooms were similar except ours happened to have two balconies. Full bathroom with stand alone tub and shower. Powder room and living room. Service was fantastic. Rooms and grounds clean and cared for. No complaints.
We had our wedding here and it was truly an amazing experience. They did a perfect job and had everything ready. Katherine Ramos was the contact person and was available 24/7. Chef Mora did an amazing job with the food. We are truly si great ful to everyone to making our special day perfect. Don Sergio in the entrance was also so very helpful.
